They will also advocate for inclusion and active participation in the community, ensuring access to opportunities that promote social and personal growth. The Support Worker operates within a person centred framework, prioritising each individual’s choices and needs. In addition to supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, the Support Worker will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, completing relevant reports, and ensuring all documentation meets required standards. General Practitioner, Homeless Services
The GP appointed to this post will work within Cork Adult Homeless Integrated Service (AHIS). Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering a coordinated approach to clients that are homeless. This is a disadvantaged population with enduring health needs including medical, mental health and addiction issues often with a background of significant trauma The GP will provide medical treatment to patients who present from homeless emergency accommodation. This will be for people who are from a very vulnerable population with significant complex needs and multi-morbidity. S/he will actively participate with other relevant care professionals in planning patient care working as part of the Homeless multidisciplinary team to deliver a co-ordinated approach to eligible client care. The GP will assess patients on presentation, prescribe a course of treatment and monitor that course of treatment.

The Head of Information Services is a senior role that reports to the Director of Corporate Services. This role has a strategic responsibility for both Information Technology and Information Management functions. This role will have responsibility to ensure SEUPB maximises the use of Information Technology and aligns technology with the requirements of recently developed strategies. The role also has the added responsibility of ensuring the Information Management unit supports SEUPB for compliance with UK/EU GDPR regulations, Records Management processes and procedures and compliance with information security standards such as ISO27001. Main Purpose: Information Services holds a critical responsibility within SEUPB. This function strengthens collaboration between the Information Management and Information Technology teams, creating a unified and more collaborative service for all aspects of information management supported by technology. By promoting joined-up thinking and eliminating duplication, the unit will build on the recent change vision and play a key role in identifying efficiencies and driving continuous improvement.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University Hospital Kerry, provides comprehensive services for ante-natal, intra-natal, post-natal mothers and their babies and also for women who require gynaecological / colposcopy services. Maternity and Gynaecology Services at UHK are delivered based on the principles of partnership and integration and strongly supports the involvement of the multidisciplinary team in service provision. There are four Maternity Units as part of the Ireland South Women & Infants Directorate-University Hospital Waterford, University Hospital Kerry, Cork University Maternity Hospital and South Tipperary General Hospital - spanning four of the largest counties in the country. Maternity Services includes Neonatology and Gynaecology/Colposcopy as well as Midwifery and Obstetrics. The Areas Primary Academic partner is University College Cork. A wide range of educational programmes and research is conducted within all hospitals in the region. The Ambulatory Gynaecology Service will be expanding into new premises off site January 2026 Six Health Regions have been established within the HSE, on the basis of the geographical boundaries agreed by the Government in July 2019 and they will be operational from 2024. Each Health Region will be tasked with population specific planning resourcing and delivery of health and social care services for the needs of its unique population. This will result in improved accountability and governance in terms of finance and performance, while also bringing decision-making closer to the frontline.
