Job Purpose The Hospital Cashier Grade V is responsible for receiving payments through facilities approved payment platforms. They will ensure payments are allocated in an accurate and efficient manner and in compliance with hospital’s policies and procedures and in accordance with current legislation. The main role of this job will be processing payments received for patients’ invoices. These payments are collected in a multitude of ways (Online/Hospital Website, Directly in Bank Account, Private Insurers and Cheques). These payments are required to be receipted in an efficient and timely manner. Receipts for payments must be also issued in a efficient and timely manner. Good quality communication skills will also be required as you will be liaising with our Patient Accounts Department on a daily basis and directly with patients/private insurers, etc.. on an ad hoc basis. Other non-patient payments are received and these are also required to be processed in a timely manner.
