Main Duties and Responsibilities: Development Planning Supporting the Director of Development & Support and the Head of College Planning, Development & Support, to produce the annual College Development Plan and annual operating plan(s) and review progress with implementation. To provide written responses and data analysis including summarising content for presentation and dissemination and provide written and oral presentations to support College activity. To analyse data and produce a range of relevant Socio-Economic reports and conduct primary and secondary research to assist with College strategy and policy development. Supporting Mobilities and Exchange Initiatives 4. To support Managers and staff to secure, embed and deliver mobility and work placement programmes. 5. Support staff and student selection for mobilities and exchange initiatives. 6. To contribute to developing effective systems for processing, monitoring, and reporting on student mobilities. 7. To undertake administration and co-ordination duties relating to staff/student mobilities 8. To travel abroad, including over weekends, to promote College business. Funding 9. To identify student/staff mobility funding opportunities from a range of funders across Northern Ireland/ UK and European/ International. 10. To develop project ideas for submission of grant applications and help prepare funding applications for staff and student mobilities. 11. Assist relevant project staff with the planning and delivery of student mobility projects where appropriate, to include progressing the roll out and implementation of new College projects including development of, monitoring target delivery, outcomes and impacts. 12. To provide administrative support for the preparation and presentation of suitable funding applications, business plans and associated documentation, in line with College strategic objectives. 13. To convene internal project and working groups as necessary to facilitate staff/student mobilities and to evaluate on-going implementation issues. Development and Support 14. To support internal and external audits. 15. To report to management on targets and KPI’s, as required. 16. To support other functions within the Department of Planning Development and Support including Entitlement Framework provision. 17. Main Duties and Responsibilities Support the Programme Delivery Manager in the development and implementation of a Programme Implementation Plan ensuring the efficient and effective discharge of the programme in the target region. Development and implementation of a recruitment and engagement strategy to ensure key stakeholders, including local Job’s and Benefits Offices, Statutory Agencies and Community and Voluntary Sector organisations and potential participants are made aware of the opportunities available through the college’s social inclusion programmes. Lead and manage the recruitment of participants to the programme and manage relationships with employers, ensuring into employment targets are met for the designated area. Manage a caseload of participants on the programme; providing 1:1 support, guidance and mentoring; identifying and addressing barriers to progression thus maximising programme into education, training and employment outcomes. Undertake with participants an agreed induction, initial assessment, action planning and progress review methodology which efficiently and effectively identifies and addresses barriers to progression and assesses the distance travelled. Development of an individualised Personal Development and Job Plan for all participants outlining the support and mentoring to be provided, ensuring planned provision including courses scheduled meets the educational and/or employment progression aspirations of participants. Monitor participant attendance and progression on the programme including the discharge of a RAG system to manage the risk of participant disengagement from employment. Engage with a wide range of local employers arranging site visits and work placements ensuring participants have direct experience of employment opportunities which may lead to sustained employment. Delivery of a weekly career hub to support participants with the development of employability skills including job search techniques, CV preparation, completing job application forms, preparation for interviews and provision of general guidance on dress code, attendance, timekeeping etc. Prepare participants for entry to employment including the provision of support with budgeting, providing better off calculations and health literacy provision. Identify any additional support inputs required by participants, making referrals to the appropriate specialist internal and external supports and monitor progress against agreed development priorities. Responsibilities • Ensuring that the site manufacturing equipment performance meets or exceeds all required KPI. • Provide strategies to ensure all technicians training has been identified and support the ongoing skills enhancement of members of Maintenance teams • Ensure planned preventative maintenance is executed to plan and plans are in place to ensure regulatory conformance always • Periodic maintenance systems review, identification and execution of continuous improvement projects focused on equipment performance, application of best practice maintenance strategies to sustain these improvements long term • Ensure all maintenance work performed onsite exceeds Health & Safety and Quality requirements • Drives the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, not reactive. • Overall responsibility for the adherence for site Maintenance Department budget. • Owner of CMMS systems (Pemac) for Maintenance Function • Managing maintenance technician group • Managing, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures for production lines in a GMP manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than budget. • Responsible for end to end process and plant optimisation across production, filling and packing, utilities and milk intake • Act as Process SME and lead technical support for all production impacting issues • Establish performance standards and optimise performance across all processes in the plant • Engage with stakeholders including Quality and Production teams in the prioritisation, development, design and testing of new or enhanced processes • Utilising the relevant Change Control Systems, secure approval for implementing change • Work with Production team to plan and execute agreed changes • Monitor MES KPI data for individual processes including reporting and trending of data • Utilise data insights to recommend interventions to drive performance • Troubleshooting issues and identifying opportunities to enhance plant performance and drive KPI improvement • Ownership of process driven documentation including design, development and roll-out of Standard Operating Procedures, Process documentation (including log books) and training documentation • Completion of QSM documentation relating to Change Control, Event Reports, RCAs etc for specific processes • Take leadership role in Change Control for specific processes • As Subject Matter Expert for specific processes, work with training to design, plan and deliver training to new and existing employees and take a lead role in technical competence assessment of Trainees • Train new and existing employees on process management including associated automation systems and MES Requirements • Experience in lead maintenance role in a food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment • Third level qualification in Engineering/Science or a related discipline. • Advanced organisation and planning skills. • Demonstrated knowledge of RCA tools (Root Cause Analysis) and lean manufacturing techniques. – repeated in lean and process improvement requirement • Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders. • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Improvement or product development, is desirable • Results driven, customer focused with high performance capability in a fast moving challenging business environment • Demonstrate strong technical ability and attention to detail to do the job at a high level of accomplishment • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to bring people with them for the best outcomes • Ability to analyse data, recognise trends and recommend actions to drive continuous improvement About us Through our expertise in research and development, customer insights, food safety and state-of-the-art manufacturing we bring innovative food and nutrition solutions to a global market.
