Job Role The post holder will plan, organise, deliver, and review a wide range of family support and bereavement support interventions to the families of children who use Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice (NICH) services, as well as, to families referred through the Belfast Bereavement Project. The post holder will work in collaboration with the Social Work Manager and other senior managers within NICH to ensure that a range of appropriate support services are available to families across Northern Ireland. Handyperson Officer
Bryson Pathways requires: (Ref E/HO/F/0626) Handyperson Officer Fixed Term Until 31st March 2027 - 35 hours per week £28,773 per annum Job Role The postholder will deliver the Bryson Pathways home safety, security and handyperson service in the Belfast, Larne, Carrickfergus and Ballymena areas. The service has a strong home safety and preventative focus which includes fixing, repairing, cleaning and clearing items in the home or garden which present a trip or fall hazard. The service provides a RoSPA Home Safety Assessment and the provision of a range of equipment including CO alarms and aids for older people. Key Tasks To carry out adaptations and repairs within the operational requirements of the Handyperson service and documented in the contracts and operational procedures To identify where works are outside the remit of the service e.g. electrical, plumbing, heating and advise the service user that these works require a professional tradesperson. To carry out the RoSPA home safety assessment using the I-Pad and ensuring all data is accurately collected, entered and uploaded. To reply promptly to new referrals, book appointments and maintain a diary of all appointments for reporting. To ensure all work and products are fully explained and understood by the service user. To determine the nature, time and feasibility of the work required and complete repairs/adaptations to a high standard, collect payment and leave site clean & tidy. To assist vulnerable service users to purchase heavy or bulky equipment e.g. doors etc. (limited number of cases). To administer all payments in line with the cash handling policy. To operate and keep accurate records of home safety equipment and general stock e.g. disposable safety equipment etc. To maintain an asset register for all tools and equipment. To ensure all electrical equipment is PAT tested and safe to use. To issue all disclaimers for security and any other equipment fitted. Essential Criteria: A recognised qualification in carpentry and / or joinery trade Recognised Information technology qualification Up-to-Date CSR card Ability to work to timetable and communicate difficulties effectively Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills Full driver’s license. Senior ICT Officer
Purpose of the post To provide technical and operational support for Marymount’s ICT infrastructure and systems. The ICT Officer will contribute to reliable, secure, and effective technology services that support clinical care delivery, administrative operations, and regulatory compliance across the hospital and hospice, working under the direction of the ICT Manager. 1. ICT Support & Service Delivery · Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support to end-users on all ICT related tasks remotely, by phone, and at deskside · Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software faults · Manage external support companies in relation to escalated ICT helpdesk calls · Participate in ICT Department on-call rota · Be responsible for the management and supervision of ICT support staff/contractors 2. Infrastructure & Systems Management · Support server, desktop and AV environments, including hardware (computers, printers, mobile devices, AV hardware, and telecoms), applications and operating systems, escalating to the ICT Manager or specialist vendors where required · Manage hardware and software components of virtual server configuration in an MS operating system environment · Manage cloud-based Office 365 environment, including infrastructure, identity, device, security and threat management · Ensure ICT support systems are patched and kept up to date · Manage network, workplace and hardware infrastructure in an expanding outsourcing environment · Ensure the integrity of the technical infrastructure and systems architecture 3.
