Clinical Scientist
Clinical Scientist / Senior Clinical Scientist– NGS Randox Genomics Services Group require an experienced Clinical Scientist to work with the existing team reporting genomic test results and developing new NGS tests. The person must be registered with HCPC [Health and Care Professions Council UK] as a Clinical Scientist. The main purpose of this post is to review and approve clinical interpretative reports, assist in development of new tests, help develop automated reporting systems and assist with other R&D projects. In addition, the person will be expected to provide expert genetic and genomics advice to sales and marketing teams and staff at the Randox Health Clinics. The current genomic tests offered are:
Youth Housing Worker
YOUTH HOUSING WORKER (NIGHTS) Are you passionate about helping young people and could you support them as they transition into adulthood and learn to live by themselves? MACS provides 24/7 supported housing for young people leaving care, or who may be homeless, aged between 16 and 21. Young people can live with us for up to 2 years before moving into the community. Youth Housing Worker provide an accessible point of contact at night and weekends to promote the protection and safeguarding of young people living at MACS and help them to build skills and confidence to maintain their own homes. To apply you will need: Six months’ experience (paid or voluntary) of supporting people in a caring role AND A full-current driving license with access to a car, insured for business use. Dispensary Assistant
ROLE You will assist the Pharmacist in delivering a comprehensive dispensing service to patients to meet their individual needs. You will be involved in the assembly of a range of Monitored Dosage Systems and the supply of a wide range of Pharmacy products. Essential Criteria GCSE (or equivalent qualification) Maths and English – Grades A-C Applicants should be able to demonstrate numeracy and accuracy skills required for a retail pharmacy environment. Eligible to work in the UK ( Proof Requested). Desirable Criteria Previous experience in a similar role in a retail pharmacy environment. NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills Hours Permanent 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, as per rota Previous unsuccessful applicants within the last 2 months need not apply. Lecturer In Civil Engineering
Permanent, Full-time (36 hours per week). The successful applicant may be required to work in any of the College’s buildings, as necessary. Job Purpose: The Lecturer in Civil Engineering will carry out the duties of a Lecturer as set out in the Contract for Lecturers.
Switchboard Operator With Clerical Duties
Permanent, Part-Time (18 Hours per week) The post holder will be based in the switchboard office in our Titanic Quarter campus but may be required to work in any of the College’s buildings as necessary. Job Purpose: Provision of an efficient and professional switchboard service. Although this is a part-time job-share role covering Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday mornings, the appointed candidate will be required to be flexible to meet the needs of the College, particularly during peak student recruitment times.
Specialist Teacher, Assessor
Permanent, Full-time (36 hours per week) The successful applicant may be required to work in any of the College’s buildings, as necessary. Job Purpose: The Specialist Teacher - Assessor (Academic) will carry out the duties of a Lecturer as set out in the Contract for Lecturers.
Learning Support Assistant
The Learning Support Assistant will have responsibility for providing additional learning support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. They will be required to undertake a range of tasks associated with supporting learners on a range of full time and part time courses, this may include working one-on-one in a small group within a classroom supporting students with their education and social development. A Learning Support Assistant provides support to students who have a learning difficulty and/or disability such as specific literacy difficulties, Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome, mental health difficulties or mobility difficulties.
