The Position Limerick City and County Council invites applications from suitably qualified persons, who wish to be considered for inclusion on a panel from which temporary and permanent vacancies for Foreman Craft – Mechanic may be filled throughout the lifetime of the panel. The Foreman - Mechanic will be responsible for the planning and organising of work in relation to the Council’s Fleet. This will require of the successful candidate to ensure that tasks assigned are completed on time and to specification. They will be responsible for leading and supervising staff under their control, for liaising with Fleet Management and Supervisory staff within Limerick City and County Council. They will be responsible for carrying out tasks assigned to the position. Duties The duties shall be such and may include clerical/administrative duties as may be assigned to the employee from time to time by Limerick City and County Council. The duties shall also include such duties as may be assigned in relation to the area of any other Local Authority. The duties of the post include but are not limited to the following: Location Appointees may be assigned anywhere within the Council’s remit. No compensation for location change.
