The CAMHS Service consists of 8 community teams, a day hospital and specialist eating disorder and ADHD teams. There are opportunities across these teams for peer supervision and departmental learning. The Senior Occupational Therapist will work as part of a CAMHS Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). The OT will carry a complex caseload and will complete occupational therapy specific assessment & intervention looking at the impact of the young person’s moderate to severe mental health difficulty on their occupational performance. As part of the MDT, the OT will complete some generic mental health work, such as initial intake assessments, and will hold a key working role. The OT will be responsible for supervision of a staff grade Occupational Therapist and development of the Occupational Therapy Service within their designated team. She/he will also work as a team member of the Occupational Therapy Service for Dublin North City and County Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
