Golf Marketing Officer
The Golf Marketing Officer will play a central part in Northern Ireland’s exciting golf tourism journey over the next number of years. At Tourism Northern Ireland (Tourism NI), our overall objective is to increase international visitor numbers and spend and the continued development of a world class destination. The Job Holder will support the Golf Marketing Unit in delivering the NI Golf Tourism Strategic Vision and will involve working closely with the golf industry and international trade. The Golf Marketing Officer will support the Golf Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of the Strategic Golf Marketing Framework which will enhance Northern Ireland’s positioning as Made for Golf. For most of our residents Twisel Lodge is their home however as part of the eight-person service, we also provide a ‘respite’ facility through which adults with learning disabilities can come and stay with us for a break. This service provides an opportunity for the main carers to get a break from caring duties and enables them to refresh and to be able to continue their caring role. The Role As part of the caring team, you will help create and maintain a caring and safe environment where the personal care and social needs of the residents are fulfilled. GALWAY JOB REF: The Role: The Social Care Worker will report to the Social Care Leader/Team Leader and will fulfil a key worker role for individuals and aim to provide a safe, secure environment where individuals will participate in community and leisure activities, make choices and enjoy a lifestyle that fulfil their potential and expectations with opportunity for new experiences. Reporting/Responsible To: Social Care Leader/Team Leader/ Team Manager/ Service Coordinator/Area Manager. Qualifications: Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications: HETAC/DIT/NQAI BA in Applied Social Studies/Social Care Open Training College (HETAC) accredited National Degree in Applied Social Studies (Disability) Successful candidate(s) must be registered with or eligible to register with CORU by November 2025. A full clean manual Driving Licence, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish Roads and use of your own car is an essential requirement. It is essential for the appointee to drive the transport that is assigned to the Service. Fluency in verbal and written English and IT skills is an essential requirement of this post. Experience: Experience working with individuals with an intellectual disability challenging behaviour, autism, complex medical and mental health needs and physical disabilities is essential. Laimh and FEDS training is an advantage. Working Hours: 78 hours a fortnight based on a 14 day duty roster including morning shifts, evening shifts, sleep-ins, weekends and public holidays. The occasional split shift and night duty may also be required. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. Annual Leave: 22 days per annum. Appropriate service related leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years’ service respectively. Remuneration: Department of Health Social Care Worker pay scale as per the consolidated salary scale dated 1st March 2025 - € 39,951 x 10 increments - € 55,049 (max) per annum. LSI € 56,089per annum is payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. Tenure: All posts are permanent full-time and pensionable. Probation: A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post.
