Established in 2010, St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network operates from three Dublin locations – St Luke’s Hospital and St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Centres in St James’s and Beaumont Hospitals and is part of the Dublin and Midlands Group. SLRON’s main role is delivery of radiotherapy treatment for patients with cancer. Multidisciplinary teams consist of medical, nursing, radiation therapists, physicists, health and social care professionals, management and general support staff providing a pivotal role in the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of these services within the hospital. SLRON is dedicated to being a world class leader in cancer treatment, patient care, research and education. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Driver (Minibus) to join our dedicated team providing vital transport and inter-facility services to St. Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network. The role includes dealing with policy matters, co-ordination of activities, ensuring that all nursing and related staff are facilitated and trained to carry out their proper functions and sees that these functions are efficiently conducted. The Director of Nursing operates in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the HSE, working in collaboration with other professionals and service managers to achieve service goals. They contribute to the development of the hospital and the strategic development of nursing in the acute hospital services, supporting the implementation of the changing service delivery structures and integrated care throughout the Health Regions. 1 .Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc. (a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: (i) Are registered, or are eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division, and other divisions as relevant to the specific service, of the Register of Nurses and Midwives, as appropriate, maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann). And (ii) Have 10 years post registration nursing experience and 5 years nursing management experience at a minimum of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM 2) level of which 3 must have been in an acute setting. And (iii) Have successfully completed a post registration programme of study, as certified by the education provider, which verifies that the applicant has achieved a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 8 or higher award maintained by Quality & Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) or can provide written evidence from the Higher Education Institute that they have achieved the number of ECTS credits equivalent to a Level 8 or higher in a health care or management related area. And (b) Candidates must possess the requisite clinical, leadership, managerial and administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. 2. Annual registration (i) Practitioners must maintain live annual registration in the General Nurse Division, and other divisions as relevant to the specific service, of the Register of Nurses and Midwives, as appropriate, maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann). And (ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). 3. Health Candidates For and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service. 4.
