Craft & Technical Trainee Locations: 24 Month Fixed Term, May 2025 – April 2027 Job Summary Job Title: Craft & Technical Trainee - Locations Duration: 24 months Start Date: May 2025 Hours: 60 hrs per week Salary: Real Living Wage (currently £12.60 per hour) Job Description The Locations Trainee offers support to The Locations Department who manage the day to day running of filming sites. This support may include helping to cordon off areas, providing signage directing crew to unit base/set and advising crew as to on-site arrangements such as parking. The locations trainee will communicate with members of the public, when filming in public areas. On wrap, they will help to pack up and remove all rubbish from location, ensuring that the filming site is left as it was found. Where is it based? The scheme will be based in various locations across Northern Ireland and participants will be expected to base themselves in Northern Ireland for the duration of the scheme. Bright Sparks is a popular week-long camp that’s specially designed to bring out the budding scientist in everyone! This year’s camps will be running in July and August (dates above) and each day will be jam-packed with STEM-related activities including workshops, shows, floor visits, build-it challenges, animation and more. Your role will be to work closely with the W5 Learning and Engagement team to support the provision of a wide range of activities as well as providing pastoral support to children attending the week-long camp.
