Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent Working Hours / Shifts : 40 hours per week, across 5 days, within the clinic opening hours of 8.45am to 6.20pm including some weekends and evenings. For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Right to Work Requirement Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. This is to ensure completion of our 9-month probationary period and for any potential sponsorship decisions to be considered. What does the Phlebotomist role involve? ​​​​​​​ This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. Purpose of the Role The purpose of this post is to work as part of the Neurophysiology team, providing diagnostic neurophysiology testing including paediatric EEG, sleep EEG, neonatal EEG, inpatient Long Term Monitoring (LTM), home video telemetry (HVT), ambulatory EEG, visual electrophysiology (VEP/ERG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM), stereo EEG monitoring (SEEG), and transcranial Doppler (TCD). Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ post graduate experience in performing routine neurodiagnostic studies. The successful candidate may be required to work across CHI sites and services in line with organisational requirements and the development of the new children’s hospital and associated services. Essential Criteria: (i) Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology OR (ii) Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) OR (ii) Possess the MSc in Clinical Physiology from Atlantic Technological University Sligo (ATU Sligo) OR (iii) Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP).
