The Role: This post will be located within Galway city and county providing physiotherapy services people supported who access Adult services within the Brothers of Charity. Qualifications: Candidates must have at the latest date of application: (i) Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. The holder of the post of Clinical Nurse Manager 2, Clinical Skills Facilitator-Medical/Surgical is responsible for facilitating the personal and professional development of Staff Nurses and healthcare assistants working with adult patients on medical and surgical wards, to ensure they are competent and safe practitioners, thus providing a high quality of patient care. The post holder will be responsible for collaborating with nursing staff, the multidisciplinary team and other departments and other clinical facilitators in TippUH to ensure the continuous quality improvement of nursing practice, thereby improving patient outcomes. The CNM2, Clinical Facilitator Med/Surg will assist and support the Nurse Practice Development Coordinator in a systematic approach to assist nursing teams to examine their practice and identify how it can be improved and be patient/person-cantered focused. This will be done through staff development, continuing education programmes, clinical expertise, effective communication, managerial and leadership skills. A key element of this post is the clinical credibility of the post holder. It is envisaged that the post holder will be acknowledged as an excellent resource to professionals within the Departments.
