Contract Offered : Full-time, permanent Working Hours / Shifts : 40 hours per week, alternating between Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday, 8.40am to 5.20pm. Later shifts may be included in the future. For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. What does the Phlebotomist role involve? This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS). • Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent. • Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation. • Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments. • Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic. • Proactively drive sales and exceed targets. • Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately. • Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manager various software systems and daily tasks. • General housekeeping duties. • Uphold clinic cleanliness. Essential criteria: • Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training. • Confident using IT programmes. • Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends. • Exemplary customer service skills and experience. • Ability to manage existing clientele and generate new clientele at the same time. • Valid UK driving license Desirable: • Experience in a private healthcare setting. • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages. • Confidence and experience working internal / external events. • Sales / Retail experience.
