Qualifications & Experience A candidate must have, on the latest date for receipt of applications for the post: (i) Meet the Department of Health & Children’s educational criteria set down for Grade IV posts: Note: Due to the evolving nature of the health service, the job description is subject to change. The post holder will be expected to update their knowledge and skills to meet changing service requirements. Particulars of the Post Remuneration Salary Scale: €35,256 - €54,370 per annum (monthly payment, if applicable). Incremental credit may be granted for recognised experience in similar roles across public services in Ireland or abroad. Salary confirmation must be submitted within the first year of employment, or the hospital will not be liable for back payments. Tenure The post is permanent/temporary, full-time or part-time, and pensionable. Annual Leave 28 days per annum pro-rata, in line with the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997, and relevant policies. Working Hours 35 hours per week full-time. Flexibility is required to meet service needs. Hours may change between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. over seven days. Superannuation You will join the appropriate Superannuation Scheme based on your entry date and prior service. Information will be provided by the Wages & Salaries Department. Probation A 9-month probationary period applies, extendable by 6 weeks in exceptional cases. Reviews every 3 months. Satisfactory performance is required for confirmation. Notice Four weeks' written notice is required upon resignation or one month's salary will be forfeited. Healthcare Insurance Salary deduction is available for permanent or long-term (12+ months) temporary employees enrolled in VHI or LAYA. Confidentiality Patient and staff information must be kept strictly confidential and managed in accordance with policy. Safety, Health & Welfare All staff must comply with the Safety Statement and all safety-related policies. Hospital Policies All hospital PPPGs must be followed. Access available on the intranet or via the hospital library. Property The hospital is not liable for personal property. Searches may be conducted where necessary. CCTV is in operation.
