Purpose of role: The newly appointed consultant will integrate with established teams at both TSCUH and OLCHC. This is a locum post, being filled to maintain current service levels. The appointee will deliver general nephrology outpatient clinics at both sites, in addition to integrating into our established specialist nephrology clinics which are run on a collaborative basis (e.g. transplant and dialysis clinics; nephro-urology; specialist nephrology follow up clinics). The appointee will play a full role in delivering inpatient ward rounds; and providing a consultation service at both sites. The appointee will take an active part in the on call rota and work with colleagues to provide comprehensive and seamless cover for paediatric nephrology at a regional and national level. Eligibility Criteria: Mandatory Professional Qualifications and Experience a) Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of paediatrics And b) Two years postgraduate training and experience in Paediatric Nephrology “The successful interviewee must be registered as a specialist in the relevant specialty on the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland, within 180 days of the day of interview and before taking up appointment. In exceptional circumstances proleptic appointments may be considered for candidates engaged in relevant training programmes. The Consultant must, at all times while continuing to hold office, continue to be registered with the Medical Council of Ireland. Documentary evidence of Medical Council Registration is required and must be produced annually to the Medical Administration Department within the Children’s Health Ireland. Should the successful candidate not be registered as a Specialist at that time, the post may be offered to the next suitable candidate. Should no suitable candidate exist, a further recruitment process may be initiated”. The above is governed by the Health Service Executive letter of approval for this post. Desirable Criteria: Clinical fellowship in Paediatric Nephrology, national or international. This includes maintenance of the site's Industrial Emissions (IE) licence and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) permit requirements. • Managing the operation and performance of the on-site Wastewater Treatment Plant • Ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to and keep up to date with new legislation and standards. • Develop, deploy, and manage the site EH&S training programme ensuring statutory requirements are adhered to and taking into account best practice and site safety culture development. • Lead on-site Environmental Health & Safety improvement, awareness, and engagement programmmes. Act as role model for the sites values and behaviours • Coordinate the Occupational Health and Sustainability programmes for the site. • Develop and manage site EH&S KPI’s and ensure Tirlán KPI reporting requirements are adhered to. • Provide support to Production Manager to maximise EH&S KPIs in line with overall Production targets • Represent the company in interactions with external agencies/ stakeholders e.g. HSA, Monaghan County Council, Complainants, insurers etc. • Co-ordinate internal and external inspections and audit programmes and Lead & drive adherence to external system accreditation i.e., ISO 14001, Tirlán Risk Management Safety • Lead on site EH&S improvement, awareness, and engagement programmes. • Lead investigations of accidents/incidents on-site. The Team Leader role reports to the Production Manager with responsibility for managing and motivating a shift team on a 24/7 operation to achieve Plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including throughput, quality, safety etc. Responsibilities • Manage a team of Production Specialists in a 24/7 operation and act as an escalation point for all team members, resolving any people related issues that may arise on shift • Execute the daily production plan through the management of the production process and associated processes and systems. • Act as key decision maker in relation to production impacting decisions within a shift and escalate issues where necessary • Lead the daily shift handover meeting, ensuring meeting objectives are met and all stakeholders are actively contributing • Conduct a root cause analysis (RCA) on shift where production KPIs have not been achieved • Maximise team understanding in relation to performance against KPIs.
