First Year Apprentice Vacancy We are seeking an enthusiastic new team member for our sales team to take part in the Sales Apprenticeship Programme. This is a structured 2-year programme resulting in a level 6 degree and 2 years real world experience. This course combines practical, on-the-job experience and formal off-the-job learning, giving apprentices a comprehensive understanding of sales and customer engagement. Sales Apprentice Training & Development The apprenticeship is delivered through a blended learning approach, including: • On-the-job training within the workplace, where apprentices will learn practical sales skills in a real business environment • Off-the-job learning delivered by the Education and Training Board (ETB), consisting of: Online classes Face-to-face workshops Apprentices will be released from their normal work duties, where required, to attend all scheduled online learning and in-person training sessions. All M.A.M.F apprentices will be trained in the following, working with a variety of specialised tools- Lathe, Milling machine, Grinders, working with drilling and milling machines and welding plants, working on complex hydraulic systems, interpreting technical drawings, assembling new machinery, dismantling, repair/make & fitting of new parts, machine wiring, electrical machine components installation and report writing of completed work. PAY We pay all our apprentices the recommended wage set by the ETB. Review it after 3 months (A well adjusted candidate will be offered above the recommended wage,) A training allowance is paid by the local ETB while the apprentice is attending the off-the job training. Overview of the Role Reporting to the Head of Department, the successful applicant will be required to provide technical expertise in the areas of electrical installations, electrical panel building and testing of such equipment. Be responsible for ordering of stock and be capable of managing inventory. Safe workshop practices and good housekeeping will be essential. Be fully up to date with NSAI regulations I.S. 10101. Desirable: • Experience with EPLAN Pro Panel, AutoCAD Electrical 3D or similar tools for panel design or automated electrical documentation. • Experience with ISO 13849-1, EMC Directive and Low Voltage Directive. • Understanding of design for manufacturing principles. • Knowledge of ISO standards and FDA guidance for the medical devices sector. • Knowledge of IPC standards for design or manufacturing of cables or PCBs.
