Job Summary The Child and Family Agency was established on 1st January 2014 and is responsible for a range of statutory functions including provision of child protection, alternative care, specified regulatory services and a range of family support services. The Child and Family Agency has responsibility for the following range of services: •Child Protection and Welfare •Parenting, Family Support and Early Help Services •Alternative Care •Birth Information & Tracing and Adoption •Tusla Education Support Services (TESS) •Children’s Service Regulation •Counselling and Therapeutic Supports Further information is available on www.tusla.ie Job Objectives Main Duties and Responsibilities: •Lead the engagement with business stakeholders and facilitate workshops with subject matter experts •Lead the development of process maps, high level business requirements and prioritising schedules •Develop design proposals and low functional prototypes to guide business stakeholders in the sign-off process •Host sprint planning and sprint retrospective sessions •Lead the documentation of uses cases, business rules and acceptance criteria as each sprint progresses •Manage the end-to-end engagement with business stakeholders •Support the development of documentation through all phases of the SDLC •Develop detailed understanding of all systems becoming the key expert in the ICT team to support knowledge transfer to development, testing and support teams •Manage team/resources as appropriate. This may include both staff and contracted analyst/design related team members. •As a senior member of the team take a leadership role in the SDLC, operational excellence and the successfully delivery of solutions. Managing & Delivering Results (Operational Excellence) •Ensure that policies and procedures are aligned with best practice, are well documented and communicated to others. •Ensure that assigned projects are managed in line with stated objectives and within specified budget and timelines. •Implement agreed changes in a co-operative and supportive manner, finding innovative ways to deliver service improvements within resource limitations. •Develop appropriate project methodologies and establish working practices that promote cross-functional team working. •Work with other Directorate and Tusla Senior Managers in the implementation and roll-out of new developments, with a particular emphasis on consistency and alignment across the system and reference to best practice, outcome measures and value for money. Education & Training •Maintain standards of practice and levels of professional knowledge by participating in continuous professional development initiatives and attendance at courses as appropriate. •Engage in career and professional development planning. •Oversee the provision of a framework for the promotion of staff development and training by making recommendations with regard to the ongoing education, mentoring, training and in-service needs of the inspection and monitoring team. •Pursue continuous professional development in order to develop professional knowledge and keep updated with current and relevant HR legislation. •Provide training with the team and region to share knowledge of relevant HR Procedures/ Processes. Health & Safety •Comply with and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, guidelines and safe professional practice and adhere to relevant legislation, regulations and standards. •Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the service for example National Standards for Child Protection and Care and comply with associated Tusla – Child and Family Agency protocols for implementing and maintaining these standards as appropriate to the role. •To support, promote and actively participate in sustainable energy, water and waste initiatives to create a more sustainable, low carbon and efficient health service. Motor Mechanics Apprentice
First year apprentice, no experience required but would be an advantage. Must have driving licence and rights to work in Ireland. The work of a Motor Mechanic involves the servicing, maintenance and fault diagnosis of automobile and light commercial vehicle mechanical and electrical systems, vehicle component removal, installation or repair according to original manufacturers’ specification. At the end of the apprenticeship, the craftsperson will be able to demonstrate competence in the following skills: Servicing Read, interpret and carry out manufacturers’ instructions for all vehicle service, maintenance and repair procedures. Complete a vehicle report form. Fgas Describe the overall aim of Regulation No. 842/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2006 in relation to the air conditioning systems of automotive vehicles (MACs). List the dangers to personal health and related safety regulations related to the refrigerant gas contained in mobile air conditioning (MAC) systems. Describe the location of possible leaks of refrigerant gas from an automotive air conditioning unit. Engine Diagnose faults, dismantle and reassemble the engine and its ancillary components. Replace timing belts and chains. Use all recommended bolt tightening procedures. Electrical Read and interpret relevant electrical wiring diagrams. Use fault-code reader to interrogate ECU memory and OBD system. Employ a logical and structured fault diagnosis methodology (use of diagnostic flow charts). Measure and interpret quantities of electrical current, voltage and resistance. Diagnose and resolve faults in starter, charging and lighting circuits. Remove and replace vehicle lighting components. Align headlamps. Fuel/Ignition Diagnose and resolve faults in electronically controlled fuel, ignition and emissions control systems. Evaluate exhaust emission levels with reference to NCT/DoT VTM test requirements. Transmission Diagnose faults in manual transmission units. Remove and refit manual transmission units.
