Project Officer
The Service Workable (NI) assists individuals with a disability or other health conditions, aged over 16 years, who want to progress into or stay in employment. We offer specialist support to best meet the needs of the individuals. Key Duties and Responsibilities Customer Ensure an individual development/support plan is developed and implemented for all programme participants. · Provide support, as required, to relevant participants and employers, using the model of Supported Employment. · Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of participants’ progress. · Identify suitable and appropriate employment opportunities for participants and match participants to these, ensuring that appropriate supports are in place. · Liaise and network with key referral agents to source information on specific participants. · Regularly monitor and review participants, providing support as required both to participants, employers, and training providers. · Liaise with families, carers and other appropriate persons or agencies involved in the support and development of participants. Quality · Work within the quality assurance systems within Cedar. (ISO Quality Management System) · Ensure adherence to all health & safety and risk management processes. · Regular monitoring and review jointly with service users and referral agents. (as required) Financial · Monitor and record performance of the service against activity targets via monthly update reporting. · Work towards full occupancy to meet compliance with funders in conjunction with referral agents. · Liaise as appropriate with DfC & DfE personnel and other partners and comply with administration procedures required. · Work with current financial administration systems of the Cedar Foundation. · To work as efficiently as possible in delivery of the service, implementing green initiatives and efficiency saving measures. Purpose of the Job Croft Communities Residential Services in Bangor Co. Down, is made up of a residential home, registered with RQIA to provide services for 9 adults who have Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs, as well as a 7 bedded Respite Unit through which adults with learning disabilities can come and stay with us for a break. This service provides an opportunity for the main carers to get a break from caring duties and enables them to refresh and to be able to continue their caring role. The Role As part of the caring team, you will help create and maintain a caring and safe environment where the personal care and social needs of the residents are fulfilled. The Team Leader will support the Registered Manager to develop and implement personalised care plans and individual risk assessments to meet individual needs. They will support the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of quality care. The role requires participation in the delivery of person-centred care, including personal care and promotion of a team approach at all times with positive and constructive working relationships for the benefit of the service user. Team leaders will also support with the management of budgets and resources effectively. Essential Criteria 1. Professional qualification for example: Professional Social Work qualification and be registered or eligible for registration on appointment on the NISCC’s register. A first level registered nurse on the appropriate part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council. A qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC OR A relevant Degree i.e. Psychology, Social Care AND be registered or eligible for registration on appointment on the NISCC’s register. About Us One of Britain and Ireland’s largest sawmills, Balcas is a leading timber products supplier and has pioneered biomass renewable energy in the British Isles. The business has grown organically, and through acquisition and investment in the latest processing technologies. Balcas’ timber products portfolio includes construction timber, fencing and landscaping products and pallet and packaging material. Balcas has led the development of the market for wood pellet fuel in Ireland and Britain. Balcas operates biomass Combined Heat and Power plants that produce renewable energy. Residual heat from electricity generation is used to dry locally sourced woodfibre that is then processed into high-energy fuel pellets, displacing 750 million litres of oil in homes, commercial premises and industry. Candidates should have obtained at least Grade C on higher level papers in three subjects in that examination. The role holder will provide strategic leadership in the planning and delivery of complex, high-value capital projects that are central to the future infrastructure of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).
