Clinical Nurse Manager, Surgical Flat
Purpose of the Role The purpose of this post is to provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team and ensure the provision of high-quality nursing care to children and families within the Surgical ward. To assist in the safe, effective and efficient management of the department within allocated resources and to undertake delegated responsibility for the department in the absence of the CNM2. To safeguard the provision of high standards of care to the children and their extended families while ensuring the care is consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of the hospital. In carrying out these duties, confidentiality surrounding the child’s admission and treatment must be maintained at all times. Essential Criteria: · Be registered on the Children’s Division and/or the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. · Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Surgical Nursing · Evidence of ongoing education / continuous professional development. · Have proven clinical and managerial ability, leadership, communication and organisational skills. Purpose of the Role The Catering Manager will be responsible for providing exceptional catering services to patients and their guardians based on the Hospital’s ethos of quality, safety, respect, caring and compassion, to support a positive patient experience. In addition, they are responsible and accountable for ensuring the efficient and effective management of all aspects of Hospital Catering Services. Continuous improvement and development of the Catering function will be the focal point for all activities, ensuring the structures, systems and practices are constantly reviewed and implemented as far as practicable within available resources and facilities. St Raphael’s Service is an adult Intellectual Disability Service situated in East Cork. It currently caters for circa 80 adults with an ID and / or Autism. The service has a base in Youghal and has a number of Community Houses in the surrounding environment of West Waterford and East Cork. The aim of our services for people with an ID and physical or sensory disabilities is to promote and maintain better health both in the person with a disability and their carer.
