THE ROLE The Corlann West employ in excess of 1,900 staff providing services to over 2,000 adults and children with an intellectual disability across counties Galway and Roscommon. We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Finance Manager to lead our Finance Services team. This is a pivotal leadership role with dual responsibility for ensuring operational excellence in all financial processes and providing strategic financial partnership to the organisation. You will be the key driver of financial integrity, compliance and insight, managing a team of 14 professionals across payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger. As a trusted advisor to the Head of Finance and non-finance managers, you will play a crucial part in enabling Corlann to achieve its mission through sound financial stewardship. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Essential Criteria: • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) is an essential requirement of the role. • Proven experience (+3 years) in a senior finance role as a competent experienced people manager able to lead and motivate a team is an essential requirement of the role. • Extensive experience in financial management, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. • Strong technical accounting skills and a deep understanding of financial compliance and risk management. • Strong people leadership skills with a creative collaborative mindset with the ability to grasp issues quickly and work on the right things at the right time. • Strong understanding of financial operations in a health or social care setting or working within intellectual disability or similar care services a distinct advantage. • Business Acumen: A strategic thinker with strong business partnering skills and a solutions-oriented mindset. • Integrity: Unimpeachable professional integrity and a commitment to the values and mission of Corlann. • Ability to create order from ambiguity & willingness to roll up sleeves to directly solve problems, operates with a sense of urgency, ability to prioritise work, conscientious, attention to detail and “can do” attitude. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent written & spoken English. • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities. Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving. • Demonstrated ability to drive results through individual efforts and influencing others, without authority over them, including Finance Leaders and a demonstrated ability to drive projects through to execution. • Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, • Recognise the equal rights of people with an intellectual disability in society and uphold and respect those rights. REPORTING/RESPONSIBLE TO Head of Finance West Region. HOURS OF WORK 70 hours per fortnight based on a 5 day Monday to Friday basis. Contracted hours of work are liable to change between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. over 7 days as future service needs require. Flexibility may be required in order to meet Service demands. ANNUAL LEAVE 30 days per annum. PENSION SCHEME The Corlann Contributory Superannuation Scheme which is linked with the Nominated Health Agencies Superannuation Scheme or Single Public Service Pension Scheme (whichever is applicable) will apply to this appointment and the person appointed will enter the said Scheme as and from the date of taking up employment. REMUNERATION The reference salary applying to the grade ranges from a minimum of €80,676 to a maximum of €94,338 gross basic per annum. After three years on the maximum point, a Long Service Increment applies bringing the annual salary to €97,533 gross basic per annum. After a further three years another Long Service Increment applies bring the annual salary to the maximum of €100,693 gross per annum. TENURE OF EMPLOYMENT The position is permanent, full-time and pensionable. TRAVEL The person appointed must provide his/her own car and must furnish an indemnity from Insurers in favour of the employer. Travelling expenses at the appropriate rate will be paid in respect of travel necessarily performed in the discharge of duty and in accordance with our Travel Policy. The travel base for this purpose will be Kilcornan House, Clarinbridge, Co. Galway. This may be subject to change in the future. PROBATION A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post. The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment. Regional Services Manager
The Regional Services Manager will have responsibility for oversight of and support to a number of local Jigsaw services. As the Jigsaw service network develops, the Regional Services Manager will also have responsibility for leading in the development of new Jigsaw services (community based and online) through the phases of planning, capacity building, initial implementation and full operation. As a member of the national service management team, the post holder will also actively contribute to the development and evolution of the Jigsaw service model. Key to this role is effectively ensuring fidelity to the Jigsaw model; sharing learning from local service implementation to inform the national programme enabling responsiveness to the needs of young people, the opportunities for partnerships and the rollout of government policy in local Jigsaw communities. The Regional Services Manager will work collaboratively with a Regional Clinical Manager and provide leadership and management support to the local Jigsaw Service management on all people related matters. The successful candidate will be energetic, innovative in their thinking about young people’s mental health and passionate about the development of accessible, youth-focused primary care mental health services.
