OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POST The purpose of the role is the day-to-day running of the Cork Furniture Shop whilst motivating and encouraging staff and volunteers to help achieve sales targets. Purpose of the Role The purpose of this post is to provide a psychological service to children and families referred to the Paediatric Psychology service at CHI Crumlin. The service provides psychological support to children attending CHI Crumlin who present with mild to moderate psychological difficulties that occur in the context of a medical illness and/or physical symptoms. Mallow General Hospital (MGH) is a Model 2 hospital as defined by the Acute Medicine Programme. MGH serves a population of North Cork and surrounding area with a population of circa 90,000. Mallow General Hospital is a 95 bed Acute General Hospital providing inpatient, outpatient and day patient services. The services provided in the hospital include general medicine, cardiology, respiratory, gerontology, gastroenterology, dermatology and palliative care. Inpatient medical activity is supported by a Medical Assessment Unit and a High Dependency Unit. Mallow General Hospital also provides elective Day Surgery, and Endoscopy. Purpose of the Post The role of the Multi Task Attendant (MTA) is to work as part of a team in the delivery of high quality, person centred direct and indirect care to patients/residents/service users, under the direction of qualified nursing staff or another designated officer. Job Purpose: The purpose of the Medical Secretary Grade IV is to provide an exceptional and comprehensive support to the service delivery of scheduling of patients for Daycase / Inpatient surgery and Outpatient Clinics within the Surgical Directorate. The Grade IV Medical Secretary will ensure that all duties, roles and responsibilities are completed to the required operational standards in line with the competency framework. In order to meet the service the post holder will also be required to provide cover for colleagues during times of absences. For more information please see attached job description.
