They will provide expertise in nutritional assessment of the neonate; provision and monitoring of enteral and parenteral nutrition; support and monitoring adequacy of nutritional intake in infants transitioning to breastfeeding or infant feeding; assessment and monitoring of growth; provision of therapeutic diets; outpatient follow-up; and research, audit, training and education on nutrition-related topics. They will act as a resource and provide expert opinion, advice and guidance to dietetic colleagues and other healthcare professionals. In conjunction with the Dietitian Manager, they will develop local policies and care pathways for neonatal nutrition. They will participate in the development of the strategic direction of the Nutrition & Dietetic service in conjunction with the Dietitian Manager and stakeholders.
