It supports c. 2,300 people and this has an impact on thousands of family members. Role: St. Michaels House operate a fleet of over 170 vehicles across the greater Dublin area. The Fleet Officer will be responsible for the upkeep of the vehicles. The successful candidate will join a team of over 30 people, including the management and administration team, drivers, and escorts. Duties and responsibilities would include: · Ensure that the fleet of vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired as required. · Develop servicing schedules and support the various housing and day service units with the maintenance of their vehicles. · Assess damage, repairs, or upgrades as identified. · Source quotes for repair, maintenance, or upgrade works to the vehicles. · Prepare cap ex submissions for approval of expenditure. · Assist and support the Chief Assistant Technical Services Officer with developing and managing a fleet management program, including identifying opportunities for new acquisitions, and disposals. · Implement procedures for acquiring new vehicles and disposing of existing as agreed. · Ensuring vehicles are taxed and meet statutory compliance for use as assigned (CVRT, NCT, Motor Tax etc.). · Monitor and report on fuel usage, repairs and maintenance, and keep accurate records of budget spend. · Monitor and report on fleet utilisation. And create vehicle sharing options. · Work alongside the other Transport team members in ensuring a robust an effective transport service. · Complete other duties in the transport department as required, including providing cover for administrative tasks, or scheduling of Drivers, Escorts, and routes. · Complete other duties relevant to the Estates department as assigned by the Chief Assistant Technical Services Officer. Requirements Qualification / Skills / Essential Criteria: · Minimum NFQ Level 6 qualification, Trade Qualification, or similar relative to the management of a transport fleet. · 2 years working in a similar role, demonstrating experience in the duties outlined above. · Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel etc.). · Hold a full clean Driving Licence. · Own vehicle that can be used for work (travel to various sites will be required.
