Applications are invited from suitably, qualified and experienced persons for the post of Permanent Administrative Officer – Finance Procurement Section. Terms of appointment: The post is whole-time, permanent and pensionable contract. Location: Initially assigned to the Finance Procurement Section, Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, Head Office, Marshal House, Dooradoyle Road, Limerick, the post holder could be moved to another area of the organisation as required. Hours of Work: 35 hours per week. Hours may be adjusted from time to time under relevant Public Sector Agreements. Annual Leave: The annual leave entitlement for this post is 29 days. Salary: €60,010 - €78,014 as at 01/08/2025 (includes 2 x long service increments) As per Department of Education guidelines, new appointees who are entering this grade for the first time will start at the minimum point of the scale, however incremental credit may apply, if, immediately prior to appointment the appointee is already a serving Civil or Public Servant. Rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. The salary is not subject to negotiation. Requirements and Eligibility for the post Essential: Candidates must: • have the requisite knowledge, skills and competencies to carry out the role. Competencies will be informed by best practice Public Appointment Service competency frameworks for the Irish Public Service; • be capable and competent of fulfilling the role to a high standard; • have obtained at least Grade D3 in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate Examination (higher, ordinary, applied or vocational programmes) or equivalent or have passed an examination at the appropriate level within the QQI qualifications framework which can be assessed as being comparable to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent or higher or have appropriate relevant experience which encompasses equivalent skills and expertise; • Oral Irish – It may be a requirement of the post that the candidate possesses a competency in Oral Irish, to the satisfaction of the Chief Executive of the ETB/to the satisfaction of the IOT. Job Description The appointee will be delegated responsibility for functions as determined by the Director of Organisation Support and Development / Chief Executive.
