Clinical Laboratory Analyst
Clinical Laboratory Analyst – Chiswick (Job Ref: 26/LBCH) Randox are a world leader in diagnostics for clinical healthcare, toxicology, and food security. The successful candidate will be conducting rapid onsite testing for multiple Point of Care clinical and / or molecular tests. Responsible for the processing of Blood and other samples from Randox Health or third-party clinics. Location : 149-153 Chiswick High Road, Chiswick, London W4 2EA. Contract Offered : Full-time, permanent. Working Hours / Shifts : alternating between 7am to 3.40pm and 1.20pm to 10pm, including weekends. Night shifts may be involved in the future. For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. The main duties of the role include: • Routine use of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMs). • The performance of various analytical procedures including various manual screening and automated methods covering a wide variety of clinical diagnostic tests. • The preparation and handling of samples and diagnostic reagents. • The operation of various automated analytical systems such as Rx Daytona Plus, Rx Imola and Siemens Immulite XPi. • Strict adherence to chain of custody procedures throughout the analytical process. • The routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instrumentation. • The preparation of specimens for transportation to ensure that their stability is safeguarded during shipment to the appropriate analytical laboratory. • Perform troubleshooting on technical issues associated with Clinical Diagnostic Testing. • Ensuring that all the necessary Quality Control checks are completed daily and that they meet internal criteria. • Participation in Quality Audits. Essential: • Qualified to at least degree level in Biochemistry or a life science. • Demonstrable experience of working with strong attention to detail. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and organisational skills. • Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
