Belfast Central Mission (BCM) is an award-winning leading charity with social care projects and social enterprises across Northern Ireland. With over 300 staff and volunteers delivering services across Northern Ireland to support people at their point of need. Tafelta Rise provides supported housing to thirteen vulnerable young people aged 16-21 years for up to two years. The young people who are leaving care, or who become homeless, are supported in their journey towards securing accommodation best suited to their individual needs, whilst providing practical and emotional support. Some young people may arrive at our projects with a complex history which can include self-harm, trauma, isolation, poverty, difficulty in forming relationships / trust, and exhibit behaviours and risks associated with their experience. Your New Role As a Support worker you will ensure that you listen to the needs and feelings of the young person to enable you to facilitate any necessary help that they need, including interventions and signposting them to other support services to give them every opportunity to get the help that they need and deserve. What we can offer you What we need from you 1. 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above including English and Maths AND a minimum 6 months’ experience of working with children and young people aged 16+ in a formal setting OR • At least one year’s experience working with children and young people aged 16+ in a formal setting OR • A higher qualification i.e. Degree in Social Work, Teaching, Youth Work OR • Relevant Child Care / Social Care qualification e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent AND a minimum of 6 months’ experience of working with children 2. Job Requirements: · BSc/MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent with post-graduate design experience with an engineering consultancy. · Building structure design experience using all the main materials on a variety of structural projects but particular emphasis on Electrical Infrastructure, Transformer bunds, Foundations for Electrical Switchgear, new and existing Substation Buildings, Drainage, Roadways and Cable Basements. · Knowledge of Eurocodes and Irish/UK standards. · Experience with AutoCAD software and Revit. Experience with drainage software is often advantageous. · Knowledge of finite element and frame analysis software for steel and RC structure design work – experience with Robot Structural Analysis software is preferred but not mandatory. · Level 8 degree in relevant field (Level 9 in advantageous). · Chartered status preferred. · 3+Years of relevant experience

Location: The BEO Services is a community based, person centred service focussing on the needs and abilities of adults with intellectual disabilities. The vision of the service is to support people with intellectual disabilities to achieve a full and valued life in their community. We continually review the way in which we support people in line with best practice internationally. Our focus going forward is to form a relationship/partnership with individuals and their family, supporting them to plan their own service. The Role: The Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service and will provide leadership and supervision at a local level, ensuring the service delivered is person centred. They will also have experience of behaviours that challenge and complex needs. Experience in goal setting and programme implementation is essential. Ø The successful candidate must have experience of managing and supervising a staff team and be up to date with current policy and legislation relevant to intellectual disability services. Ø Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, management and planning skills as well as the ability to set goals, implement and review. Ø Candidates must have the ability to exercise good judgement, discretion and confidentiality, to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms and co-operate in a team environment with a person-centred philosophy. Ø The successful candidate will have evidence of and be committed to Continued Professional and Personal Development. Ø A full clean manual Driving Licence, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish Roads and use of your own car is an essential requirement. Working Hours: 75 hours per fortnight Contracted hours will be based on a 7-day roster, with flexible shift patterns. It is envisaged that this post will primarily be Monday to Friday with contracted hours of work liable to change between the hours of 8am – 8pm. There will be a requirement to work one weekend every three weeks, depending on service needs. An ‘On Call’ commitment may be required and flexibility around this will be expected in order to meet service needs. The Corlann model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual Annual Leave: 25 days per annum. Service Related Leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years nursing service. Annual leave must be planned with the Area Manager / Service Coordinator to ensure appropriate and adequate cover is provided for the service.
