We’re on the hunt for School Lunch Operatives – reliable, cheerful people who take pride in doing things right and bring a bit of warmth to every school day. Think of yourself as the final link in the lunch chain. All meals are prepared at our headquarters in Nenagh, Tipperary, before being organised and prepared for delivery to local schools. From there, you'll help make sure lunches arrive safely and on time while helping keep the service running smoothly. If you’re a detail addict and thought this was a little vague, here’s a list for you: I still have questions actually… No problem! We’re here to answer them. When will I work? This job is offered on a part-time basis, 3 hours a day, Monday through Friday! Typical hours of work may vary depending on school requirements Will I have to work all year long? No! As schools close for the summer, we follow the academic calendar. As a result, you’ll work approximately 183 days per year , with school holidays off to enjoy some well-deserved rest. Our staff can sign on to Social Welfare as Educational Sector Workers during summer months. What benefits do I get by joining The Lunch Bag? Well, for starters – a genuinely supportive team who’ve got your back. The role is flexible and ideal if you’re looking to ease back into work or want something steady during school terms. How much is it paid? It’s THE question everybody asks! The same way we take care of the children in schools, we take care of our people too. You will earn €14.65 per hour – 50c above minimum wage.

Our goal is to ensure that every child in selected schools across Ireland has access to a free, wholesome, hot meal every day. With the recent government funding allocation for school meals, we're committed to making this vision a reality. So, what’s the job? We are seeking to expand our road support team to ensure our schools are ready to begin their new hot food service and maintain the standards thereafter. Your role will include: You will earn €33,000 per year.

Skills Required: · Preferably a minimum of 3 years’ HGV driving experience. · Clean relevant Drivers Licence. · Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
