The Role: The Health and Safety area is responsible for ensuring & supporting compliance with company, national & European level health, safety, quality & environmental standards for Uisce Éireann. The team provides governance and specialist advice across the business areas and manages the maintenance and assurance of the quality, environment and energy management systems to ensure appropriate H&S compliance with regulatory requirements. The Health and Safety Team support the operational areas of the business to deliver on their health and safety responsibilities. They support the implementation of the safety management systems and roll out tools including processes and procedures to support health and safety compliance. They support the development of a safety culture appropriate to our organisational values which facilitates us to deliver on our Work Safe Home Safe vision and beliefs. The team also provide governance and specialist health and safety advice across assigned business areas and are the visible presence of safety in the regions. The team work with the business and the broader health and safety team to monitor the implementation of safety management systems and investigate and respond appropriately to internal health and safety trends and developments and external requirements such as legislative changes and regulator requirements and expectations. Reporting to the Health and Safety Operations Senior Manager, the Regional Health and Safety Manager is responsible for the governance, oversight, and management of Uisce Éireann standards and policies. The role holder works with direct employees and 3rd party contractors alike, to ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies where required across specific regions and is responsible for managing a team of regionally based health and safety advisors. Customs Officer – Shift Work (Clerical Officer)
The Role Job Description Successful candidates will work as an important part of a busy team, involved in a wide range of interesting and challenging work, which includes facilitating legitimate trade (imports and exports) through ports, airports, and mail and parcel distribution centres, including examining and clearing import/export documentation and physical checks of goods. Additionally, successful candidates may be involved in frontier controls which include risk profiling and intelligence gathering; anti-smuggling measures leading to the detection of drugs and contraband; identifying tax and duty evasion and working in Customs Channels in the ports and airports and on the eCustoms Helpdesk (Rosslare). This role requires attendance on site on a 24/7 (Dublin & Rosslare) or 16/7 (Portarlington & Athlone) rostered basis for which a shift premium is payable. Rosters include night and weekend shifts. Shifts are 7/9 hours in length on a 24/7 basis. Each officer will be rostered to cover various shifts commencing morning (3am/5am), afternoon (1pm/3pm), evening (5pm / 6pm), or night (9pm/11pm) over the period of the rota. The roster rota is generally in place for 4, 6 or 9 weeks. See Appendix 1 for a selection of example rosters. Your particular roster will be discussed when you are assigned to an operational area. Over time, successful candidates may have the opportunity to compete for other customs roles which are also an integral part of Revenue’s overall frontline tax and customs trade facilitation and compliance management framework, such as Revenue Dog Handler, a member of one of Revenue’s Customs Cutter crews or opportunities in the wider Revenue. The work is varied, personally rewarding, challenging, and sometimes physically demanding, with a combination of indoor and outdoor duties, including driving (as applicable), carried out at Revenue premises and other premises. Enforcement and/or Trade Facilitation duties , for which appropriate training, mentoring and management and supervisory support will be provided, may include, but are not limited to, the following: At the end of the five-year contract period, officers will be assigned to the ordinary duties of their grade within Revenue in the geographical location to which they were assigned from this competition. Salary: Personal Pension Contribution (PPC Rate) Staff appointed to Customs Shift Work, in addition to basic pay, will receive a shift premium for attendance on a shift roster. The salary scale for the position of Clerical Officer in Revenue, as of 1 March 2025, is as follows: Personal Pension Contribution (PPC): €590.21, €623.23, €631.62, €647.99, €672.15, €696.26, €720.35, €737.91, €757.82, €780.93, €797.18, €820.07, €842.79, €878.27, €906.13 (LSI 1), €918.93 (LSI 2) The PPC pay rate applies when the individual is required to pay a Personal Pension Contribution (main scheme contribution) in accordance with the rules of their superannuation scheme. This is different from a contribution to the Spouses’ and Children’s scheme or the Additional Superannuation Contributions (ASC). A different rate will apply where the appointee is not required to make a Personal Pension Contribution. Long service increments may be payable after 3 (LSI 1) and 6 (LSI 2) years of satisfactory service at the maximum of the scale.

JOB PURPOSE JOB DESCRIPTION PRIMARY OBJECTIVES / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support the development and implementation of an effective brand(s) communication strategy and implementation programme, utilising all channels to build awareness, increase intention and ultimately deliver increased volume and revenue from all target visitor segments in ROI & NI. • Assist with project management for the delivery of marketing campaigns and projects, including taking individual responsibility for managing specific elements of campaigns, working both with the wider team and also under own initiative. • Supporting the guardianship of our brands and creative assets by working with internal teams and agency partners on usages, asset storage and adherence to brand guidelines. • Assist the team in working closely with key agency partners. • Support the team in reporting on data, learnings and ROI analysis from marketing campaigns. • Support the coordination and preparation of content/presentations for brands, partners and/or internal meetings as required. • Support the team in the development of copy for press releases, articles and briefing documents. • Support the coordination of activities for shoots, media and other partners. • Work closely with the wider marketing and digital team to drive efficiencies and maximise content distribution and impact. • Collaborate with other internal teams to deliver an effective marketing work programme. • To support the wider organisation with their communications in terms of recommending and advising on the best channels to deliver to maximise our reach. • Responsible for administration and financial management tasks in line with Fáilte Ireland policy. • Provide logistics support for meetings / workshops / events by setting up venue, organising room layout, booking accommodation, dealing with invitees. • Record, produce and distribute minutes of meetings. • Carry out all other duties as required and participate as a full member of the Marketing Team by supporting different work projects, as required, from time to time.
