About the role Here at Kerry Dairy Ireland Listowel, we have the opportunity for a mechanical and an electrical apprentice to join our team. This 4-year program offers a mix of college-based learning and hands-on experience with skilled craftspeople. If you're midway through your apprenticeship, we want to hear from you too! Upon completion, apprentices receive a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Electrical or Mechanical. To thrive in this role, candidates must demonstrate good work standards, teamwork skills, and a commitment to safety. The program is run by Solas. Further information can be found on www.apprenticeships.ie What will I be doing? Maintaining the highest quality works standards. Learn on the job and apply yourself when released for college. You must pass the relevant exams in each block release to remain in the role. Working with the team to ensure we deliver high quality safety standards, which exceed expectation. Assisting the Maintenance team so they meet their scheduled works. Other work as assigned to support projects and / or customer expectations Qualifications and skills Leaving certificate including Maths (with at least a grade C3 in Ordinary Level Maths) Previous working experience preferred. Will require safepass and manual handling certificate (provided by Company). Maintenance Technician
About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team in our Listowel manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the equipment used within our plant. You will use your craft qualification to effect this. You will contribute to increasing the reliability of process and utility equipment in support of manufacturing requirements for dependability, quality, safety and environmental. As part of the Maintenance Team, you will work with colleagues from all levels of operations and quality to identify and prioritise equipment issues. An ability to work effectively within your team will also be very important to this role. The maintenance technician role will involve working on a shift rotation, with some shift overtime. The Listowel facility processes 500 million litres of milk annually. Listowel has a comprehensive product offering consisting of Dairy Proteins, Primary Dairy Ingredients, Dry Dairy Ingredients, Dairy Flavours, and Cheese Solutions products manufactured on-site. These product categories can then be applied to a wide spectrum of applications such as Dairy, Bakery, Nutritional Beverages, Savoury snacks, cereals and bars, confectionary, prepared meals as well as ice-cream and frozen desserts. Equipment Technician
Equipment Technician Location: Charnwood, Loughborough Hours : 37.5 hours Mon-Fri with core hours 10:00-16:00 Salary: Competitive Business Unit: Pharma Services Open To: Internal & External Applicants Ref No.: HRJOB10923 The Role In this role, you will be responsible for calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment, responding to breakdowns, and conducting data integrity assessments. You will accurately record and report maintenance tasks, investigate equipment failures, and liaise with external contractors for timely calibrations. Additionally, you will maintain the pharmaceutical environment, review testing results of other equipment technicians, and assist in documentation and validation of new equipment Key Requirements · A-Levels (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics · Hands-on experience with scientific analytical equipment, e.g., HPLC/UPLC’s, Mass Spec, Gas Chromatography, Karl Fischer, Balances. · Experience calibrating instrumentation. · Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing instrument faults. · Experience of working in a GMP/Laboratory environment.
