Job Description Scope of Responsibility As a Housekeeping Assistant your focus will be to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is kept throughout Kirk House including in residents’ rooms. Key Areas of Responsibility Housekeeping • You will be ensuring that our resident’s rooms are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and that such duties are carried out in a respectful and empathetic manner, according to resident’s needs. • As part of the housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas within Kirk House, cleaning stores, toilets, bathrooms, and equipment (belonging to Kirk House and/or to the residents). Laundry Duties • You will help to ensure that an effective system of collecting, receiving / redistributing laundry is in place to ensure that resident’s/Kirk House requirements are always met • You will ensure, when required, that all laundered items are dried, pressed, ironed, steamed, and folded. General • Your role will require you to adhere to our Health & Safety policy and procedure and where necessary, bring to the attention of management, any area, piece of equipment, standard or working practice, which does not meet safe standards. • You may assist with serving meals to residents and to ensure all areas are clean and tidy after each meal. • You will help to maintain sufficient levels of cleaning supplies and equipment and advise management on replenishing supplies.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Meet and greet customers/potential customers (face to face in the Reception area, by phone, or by digital media) and provide them with the information and services needed to allow them to participate in their desired activity. Deal with all customer enquiries and concerns, escalating to other team members as appropriate. Operate the Front of House software and maintain information databases. Location: Failte Community Services is a Community Outreach Programme which provides multi- disciplinary support to Adults with a Mild Intellectual Disability. Many of those we support wish to live independently in Galway City and County, to access education, work/leisure activities and community day services for young adults graduating from school or training programmes as well as those needing support with making informed choices, daily life issues, relationships and health and well-being. The service aims to promote independence through enabling adults to live a full and active life safely in their communities. This is achieved through the provision of therapeutic supports, frontline services and the promotion of meaningful community engagement. We work in on going partnership with people supported by the service and other agencies to maximise the use of community resources. We provide a services which are person centred and individualised, adaptable and versatile in order to respond to the needs of people supported by the service. All the supports are underpinned by our BOC policies and procedures, Personal Outcome Measures, Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 and HSE Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse. The Role: Community Support Workers Horizon Programme provide a key-working supportive role and assist in the delivery of community support to individuals with Mild Intellectual Disability and sometimes a secondary diagnosis of Mental Health, some of whom may present with behaviours or lifestyles that can be deemed as challenging. This role comprises of mainly one to one working with individuals in the local community or sometimes in their own homes. A vital part of our Community Support Worker role is developing a community profile through; researching the local area, linking with local organisations and clubs, liaising with educational and training bodies and building positive and lasting relationships with all public and private services who assist the individuals we support to live independent lives in their communities. A major focus of the Community Support Worker role will also be encouraging and assisting individuals supported to develop their own life plans based around needs and interests. The Community Support Worker will work closely and inclusively with significant others involved in the individuals life such as family / next of kin and be supported and guided their practice by service social work, psychology, psychiatry and management when required. The Community Support Worker Arts Alive will work in our community based service in Galway City working in an exciting service with people who have a passion for life and for the arts. Overall Purpose of the Post To provide administrative support to the Director of Services Office and Children’s Services Manager (CSM) as relevant & Children’s Disability Network Managers (CDNM) in relation to supporting PDS services across the region. This support will include meeting the general administrative demands of PDS, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Metrics, Parliamentary Questions (PQs), Complaint processing, Risk Registers, Freedom of Information (FOI) file requests and Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) in Enable Ireland’s capacity as Lead Agency for 20 networks. To provide PDS administrative support to the Director of Services office as required. Provide support to the CDNMs and CSMs assigned to the region as required. Prepare correspondence as requested, including processing of Freedom of Information and Data Subject Access Requests. Research, collect and collate data and statistics, and prepare reports and submissions as assigned. In line with national and local policy and in partnership with the Director of Services, CSM and CDNM, to support the CDNT (Children’s Disability Network Team) in collating a Strength Needs Analysis, support training requests and organise and coordinate training for staff, and for other specified groups as required. To compile and update, as required, a tracker and checklist of mandatory training for record and insurance purposes. Collate reports required for the Board of Enable Ireland and HSE in relation to children’s services for review Support teams in responding to PQs Support teams in responding to complaints and maintain a tracking system for all complaints With the CDNM/CSM, review accident or incident, or potential incident, which may take place and ensure appropriate reporting and tracking of same Support the teams in reviewing and updating risk registers Support teams in relation to the Enable Ireland record management and other data processing systems including CDNTIMS.
