Consultant General Physician, Nenagh Hospital
The HSE Mid West is currently seeking to recruit a temporary Consultant General Physician, Nenagh. Specifically, the role is MAU based with a view to facilitating the expansion of MAU opening in the relevant Model 2 Hospital from 8am-8pm working in consort with one other MAU physician. The consultant will also be expected to form part of the Medicine on call rota on a pro rata basis, which includes running the MAU, covering wards and receiving referrals from UHL on Weekends and Bank Holidays (1 in 5). The Consultant will also contribute to covering annual leave on a scheduled basis. The MAU has close linkages with the Acute Medical Unit in UHL and the other MAU’s in the other hospitals in the Group and is aligned to the National Acute Medical Programme. The majority of patients attending the MAU are discharged with those requiring admission, in general, being admitted to the relevant medical ward. .
