Main Duties and Responsibilities: Support Digital Social Innovators in the development, testing and refinement of digital social innovation solutions within the STRIDE programme. Assist with systems design, software configuration and prototyping activities supporting the development of digital solutions. Support user research, testing and engagement activities with community groups, statutory agencies and partners to inform the development and refinement of digital solutions. Provide delivery-level support to transformational digital projects delivered in collaboration with consortium partners. Assist with the development, testing and piloting of digital prototypes supporting project delivery. Support the coordination of technical inputs across project partners as required. Maintain and update technical documentation and digital assets associated with solution development and project outputs. Support the uploading, structuring and maintenance of digital solutions and resources on the STRIDE Empowering Communities Portal. Purpose and Function of Post To drive a range of vehicles as required within the Neighbourhood Operations section and to complete a range of vehicle checks as required. To work as team leader ensuring the collection and removal of recyclables, household, industrial and commercial waste, including bulky items from various locations. Carry out street cleaning duties throughout the District. To work on your own as a driver of a side loading “one armed” refuse collection vehicle (OAV). The post holder will also provide flexible and effective cover across a range of Council services delivered by the Neighbourhood Operations Section. Hours: 37 hrs per week Mon – Thurs 7.30am – 3.30pm & Friday 7.30am - 3.00pm. Must be able to work outside normal working hours as and when required i.e., overtime, early mornings, evenings, as well as weekend / public holiday working. The Council may retain a list of reserve candidates arising from this recruitment campaign, for any vacancies which may arise which are the same or similar and are of an equal grade of pay. This list will be valid for 12months. “Another similar vacancy” is defined as a post with a similar job description and person specification and on the same salary scale, which may be in a different department or duration to the vacancy initially advertised. Review and contribute to the mission statement, aims, objectives, and tasks for the Borough’s Good Relations/Community Development Action Plan. Use community issues as a medium to transcend inter-community conflicts and mainstream Good Relations work into the Council’s overall Community Development Strategy. Address community divisions, identify barriers to development, and promote a better understanding of both inter and intra communities within the terms of reference of Good Relations/Community Development. Contribute to the Good Relations Policy for the Council, detailing the code of practice for Officers and Elected Members. Work in partnership with DEA Officers in the development and delivery of Good Relations/Community Development Action Plans and initiatives. Take the lead in supporting and developing festivals, events, and schemes relating to Community Development, Community Relations, and Community Safety, promoting the aims and objectives of the section and the Community Development Department as a whole. Prepare and submit reports as necessary for the Community Development Manager, Council committees, and external partnerships. Collaborate at both interdepartmental and interagency levels on consultative groups as required. Initiate contacts and exchange information with other agencies and bodies, as well as other sections and departments within the Council.
