Main Duties and Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the processing of cattle in accordance with health and safety and animal welfare standards Duties may include: stunning; flanking, legging, trimming, back saw, hide removal, preparatory trimming. You will contribute as part of one team to ensure that cattle are processed in adherence with Animal Welfare Requirements, Food Safety legislation, and customer specification To ensure that production deadlines are met and yields maximised with minimal contamination and wastage To embrace training opportunities and take ownership of your own personal development You will be responsible for maximising the yield of the product and minimising waste to ensure production is as efficient as possible. You will be required to undertake such duties as required in a safe manner You will also be required to fully engage in all aspects of training and communication. Main Duties and Responsibilities: · Assist in planning weekly livestock throughput in line with production requirements. · Procure livestock at the most competitive prices while maintaining quality standards. · Build and maintain strong working relationships with farmer suppliers. · Manage the procurement of cattle in line with operational needs. · Liaise with the production team to ensure smooth coordination between procurement and processing. · Meet regularly with farmers to strengthen engagement and communication. · Conduct farm visits, providing advice on livestock and delivering feedback on slaughter performance. · Ensure supplier payments are accurate, timely, and in accordance with agreed terms. · Organise and coordinate livestock to meet planned schedules. · Liaise with Department of Agriculture officials to resolve any documentation or compliance issues. · Carry out any additional duties as required to support business operations This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a challenging career with one of Europe’s leading privately owned agri-business organisations.
Retained Firefighters
JOB REQUIREMENTS PLEASE NOTE: Training fees will be paid at the current hourly rate for Firefighters during training. This hourly rate is currently €26.04. Failure to successfully complete all of the above courses will result in the termination of the Firefighter’s employment as the recruit firefighter has failed in achieving the appropriate competency to undertake the role. Some or all of the above courses will be held at a training facility, which may or may not be situated locally. From the date of commencement as a recruit Firefighter, there shall be a period of 12 months during which the recruit Firefighter shall be on probation. During this time the recruit Firefighter shall be continually assessed to determine his/her suitability for continued employment. Such period of 12 months may be extended at the absolute discretion of the County Council. The recruit shall not become a permanent Firefighter at the end of the period of probation unless the County Council is satisfied that the Firefighter has been satisfactory in all respects. Remuneration A Firefighter shall be paid at the appropriate approved national rates of Fire and Drill Fees and Retainer Fees and in accordance with any national agreements for retained Firefighters. Payment of fees is currently made fortnightly.
