Details of Service: Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) is an evidenced-based approach that can transform the experience and outcomes of people facing psychosis.This EIP service is a new multidisciplinary community mental health services that provides treatment and support to people experiencing or at high risk of developing psychosis. It will initially cover a catchment area in covering the Dublin area of Ballyfermot and Lucan and in subsequent years it will expand to provide a service to a broader geographic area. Our early intervention for psychosis (EIP) team will look after people for up to three years after their first episode of psychosis and will accept referrals for people between the ages of 14 and 65 years old. You will accurately record and report maintenance tasks, investigate equipment failures, and liaise with external contractors for timely calibrations. Additionally, you will maintain the pharmaceutical environment, review testing results of other equipment technicians, and assist in documentation and validation of new equipment Key Requirements · A-Levels (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics · Hands-on experience with scientific analytical equipment, e.g., HPLC/UPLC’s, Mass Spec, Gas Chromatography, Karl Fischer, Balances. · Experience calibrating instrumentation. · Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing instrument faults. · Experience of working in a GMP/Laboratory environment. The roles involve leading projects through a mixture of laboratory and desk-based work with some additional supervisory responsibilities. The Chemists will perform development and phase appropriate validation of analytical methods, in support of API manufacturing projects for small molecules and/or peptides. These include, but are not limited to, determination of assay and related substances by HPLC/UPLC/GC, determination of residual solvent content by GC. Determination of water content by KF and counter ion content by IC. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, ranging from early phase clinical studies to commercial readiness for API small molecules up to larger complex molecules and across a wide range of therapeutic indications. You will be responsible for demonstrating expertise in the technical aspects of the job and maintaining a strong understanding of internal procedures and regulatory aspects. You will actively contribute to implementing best practices and stay updated on advancements in technology related to the job.
