Purpose of role: Paediatric dermatology is an exceptionally high volume specialty, with >12,000 patient attendances across the three Dublin sites per annum and >6,500 currently on waiting list. This is a replacement Consultant Post intended to resume clinics and tackle waiting list. The model of care will deliver on the vision of the National Model of Care for Paediatric Healthcare Services (2016), for the delivery of safe and appropriate care to paediatric patients as close to home as possible so that children and young people with urgent care needs get the right advice at the right place, first time. The post also incorporates the delivery of tertiary and specialist care to those with rare or complex skin conditions which cannot be treated elsewhere.
