Audiologist Basic Grade
Purpose of the Role The purpose of this post is to discharge the duties of a Staff Grade Audiologist. The successful candidate may be required to work across CHI sites and services in line with organisational requirements and the development of the new children’s hospital and associated services. Essential Criteria: 1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: (A) (i) Hold the two year full time M.Sc.in Audiology awarded by the National University of Ireland, University College Cork at Level 9 on the Quality and Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) framework, which includes a licence to practice clinical audiology in Ireland OR (ii) Hold an equivalent qualification in Audiology awarded in another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health (An Roinn Sláinte) (See Note 1* below) OR (B) Hold the BSc (Hons) in Audiology awarded by Athlone Institute of Technology awarded in 2016 only, at Level 8 on the Quality and Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) framework. 4 OR (C ) Candidates currently working as an Audiologist or Audiological Scientist within the Irish Health System must hold: (a) a qualification equivalent to (A) above OR (b)The British Association of Audiologists Examinations Parts 1 & 2 (or its predecessor) OR (b) A qualification equivalent to (C), (a), (b). AND (D) Candidates must provide evidence of audiological competence relevant to the scope of practice required for the role. (See Note 2* below). AND (E) Candidates who did not complete the required studies through the medium of English must demonstrate their proficiency in the English language through the submission of certification from the International English Language Testing System [IES TS]. An overall score of 7.00 is required with a minimum of Reading 6.5, Writing 7, Listening 6.5, and Speaking 7. AND (F) Candidates must possess the requisite Audiological competency, professional knowledge experience, and ability (including a high standard of suitability and administrative ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office *Note 1 In addition to this requirement, documentation should be provided to indicate that the qualification entitles the candidate to practise as an audiologist in the country where they qualified *Note 2 Certified evidence of clinical competency may take the form of formal certification (e.g. CCC, CAC etc) or formal written statements from reliable clinical or academic sources confirming · competence in one or more areas of practice. Roster Administrator
The Care Team is expanding and is looking to recruit a Roster Administrator for their office in Dublin 18. The role is office based. Reports to The Client Care Director and Managing Director, liaises with the Community Liaison Officers (CLO’s), Supervisors, HR and Recruitment. Practice management: Assessment and facilitation of new and existing carers and clients regarding: 1. Roster Co-ordination Responsibilities - Accepting, allocating and processing client referrals both private and HSE. - Accepting and processing changes and amendments to existing rosters. - Assigning care workers to clients alongside the community liaison officers. - Ensuring all working patterns meet the needs of the company, clients and carers. - Ensuring adequate cover is available for sickness, absenteeism or holidays. - Liaising with customers and care workers to ensure an efficient service provision. - Ensuring care worker rota’s are completed and distributed on a monthly basis to all appropriate parties. - Any other duties as deemed necessary by the business. 2. Employee resources - Work with the Hr department to pre-empt recruitment needs. - Keeping accurate records on the system and working with the office team to ensure all data is up to date and relevant. - Liaise with HR and the other CLO’s and confirm or decline carer’s holiday requests as appropriate. - Assisting HR and the other CLO’s with carer interviews and appraisals. 3. System Administration - Working with other members of the administration team to ensure high quality service provision. - Maintain accurate client database records. 4. Medical Laboratory Aide, University Hospital
Details of Service Six Health Regions have been established within the HSE, on the basis of the geographical boundaries agreed by the Government in July 2019. Each Health Region will be tasked with population-specific planning resourcing and delivery of health and social care services for the needs of its unique population. This will result in improved accountability and governance in terms of finance and performance, while also bringing decision-making closer to the frontline. Health Regions will enable and empower staff to provide services that are: · Integrated, locally planned and delivered · Easier to access and navigate · Available closer to home Health Regions are geographically-based units with clearly defined populations. They align community and hospital services within specific areas. The HSE will retain a strong but leaner central organisation, with more service provision developed at a local level. The HSE South West Health Region will manage and deliver all public health and social care services in Cork and Kerry. HSE South West includes all hospital and community healthcare services in the region. This includes: · South / South West Hospital Group S/SWHG · Cork Kerry Community Healthcare CKCH The Department of Population and Public Health is also now aligned with this health region. HSE Services working within this region include: · Acute Hospitals · Primary care services · Community services · Social care services · Health and social care professionals · Voluntary sector services The Point of Care Testing Department consists of a team of Medical Scientists (Chief and Senior Medical Scientists) supported by a Senior Biomedical Engineer. Clinical Governance for the POCT service is provided through the Hospitals POCT Steering Group and is Chaired by a Hospital Consultant. The Department provides services to CUH and Cork University Maternity Hospital. Services are to be expanded to include the Surgical Hub at CUH and POCT Services in the Community. The POCT Department provides the following POCT services: · Blood Gas · Glucose and Ketones · Molecular Detection of Respiratory Viruses (SARS-Co-V2; FluA/B, RSV) · HbA1c · Renal Function (Creatinine/eGFR) The overall workload is 436,000 samples per year (2M Tests). POCT is a rapidly expanding area of diagnostics as there is more and more reliance on POCT to generate quick, high-quality results, particularly as technology improves. The POCT Department is therefore constantly growing/evolving and is always at the forefront in adaptation of new and innovative technologies to address user needs and expectations. It would be expected that all staff would engage with and embrace such new technologies. Plans are in place to introduce Urinalysis (Urine Dipstick and Urine Pregnancy) and Coagulation Services (TEG/Rotem). The Department has strong educational links with the MTU Biological Sciences Department and is involved in teaching Students of Biomedical Science. The Department promotes collaborative research work with clinical colleagues. The POCT Department maintains a Quality Management System which is accredited by the Irish National Accreditation Board against Standard ISO15189:2022.
