The physiotherapist will work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy Manager and MDT to deliver high quality care and support to women, irrespective of where they have had baby. • To work with the obstetric consultants and relevant health care professionals to ensure efficient and effective management of the waiting list and to improve the patient pathway of care to the Postnatal Hub • To provide advanced physiotherapy assessment, management and treatment of patients referred to the Postnatal Hub. • To provide advance practice in the management of postnatal issues and associated conditions according to relevant guidelines and under the governance of the obstetric teams. • To work within the multidisciplinary team ethos and liaise with staff to ensure effective communication takes place at all times. • To promote and ensure clinical effectiveness, a high standard of care and that evidence-based guidelines are adhered to. • To evaluate and develop the clinical specialist role through clinical audit and research including the return of KPIs and patient statistics to management and NWIHP on a monthly basis. • Provide expert clinical lead for Pelvic Health and Continence senior/physiotherapy colleagues. • To represent the hospital through lecturing on external courses and participation in national groups to improve care nationally.
