Senior Occupational Therapist The panel will also be created for any future relevant acute OT posts Purpose of the Role The postholder of this post will be an integral member of the In-patient General Medical and Surgical OT team delivering comprehensive occupational therapy services to infants, children and young people who are under the care of medical and surgical consultants from various clinical specialities. Within OT structures the umbrella term of General Medical involves In-patient care of key specialities such as Neuro-disability, general paediatrics, general surgical, renal, metabolic; it excludes any children that are under the care of neurosurgical, neurology, oncology, cardiac and rheumatological teams as they are supported by other dedicated OT teams. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University Hospital Kerry, provides comprehensive services for antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal mothers and their babies, and for women who require gynaecological procedures. There is a level 1 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) 2 cots along with Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) 8 cots that cares for babies from 32 weeks gestation with a complex postnatal journey. OVERALL ROLE OBJECTIVE: The Category Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the procurement strategy for a defined area of procurement, managing the end to end procurement cycle in line with business requirements.
