BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES –WEST REGION POSTS: STAFF NURSE/*ENHANCED NURSE ROSCOMMON/ATHLONE ADULT SERVICES (Roscommon Town,Athlone, Kilteevan) Ref: 82091 A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled. Locum roles are also available. Location: Athlone/Roscommon Adult Services (Athlone, Kilteevan, Roscommon Town Areas). Staff allocation could be either within residential/respite/day settings or in community services or in an individual’s own home. The appointee will initially commence working in one particular area of the Athlone/Roscommon Adult services and this work location may change due to future service needs. Working With: People supported and their families/Team Leader/Multidisciplinary staff/Service Management. Qualifications: Candidates must have - All posts are based on a 14-day duty roster. The successful candidate will be required to work days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and night duty to meet service needs. Annual Leave: 24 days pro rata per annum (pro-rata for part-time). Appropriate service related leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years’ service respectively. Remuneration: Department of Health salary scales as at 01/03/2025 apply: Staff Nurse - €36,919 x 12 increments - €53, 340 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). Long Service Increment €54, 928 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) is granted after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. *Enhanced Nurse – € 43,872 x 7 increments - €55, 093 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). Long Service Increment €56, 706 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) is granted after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. *As per HSE HR Circular 022/2019 – Nursing and Midwifery - the Enhanced Nurse / Midwife Practice Contract https://www.hse.ie/eng/staff/resources/hr-circulars/hr-circular-022-2019-re-enhanced-nurse-midwife-contract.pdf; once a staff nurse reaches point 4 on the Staff Nurse salary scale, they become eligible to apply for the role of Enhanced Nurse. Any Staff Nurse who wishes to avail of the Enhanced Nurse role will have to submit an application and also meet the qualifying criteria. Salary quoted is based on a 37.5 hour working week. The successful candidate will be granted incremental credit subject to satisfactory verification of previous relevant nursing service. The Brothers of Charity Services model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays, and sleep-ins and night duty when worked. A location allowance of €2,347 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) will also be paid when assigned to services where 75% of the persons supported have a diagnosis of severe/profound intellectual disability. BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND – WEST REGION 1 X Permanent Part Time Senior Community Facilitator Strokestown Adult Services – Cruachan Services (Tulsk, Strokestown, Elphin and Ballinagare Area) JOB REF: 82097 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Senior Community Facilitator Appointments within the Strokestown and Roscommon Town Services will be made over the next 6 months. Location: Assignment to Cruachan Services, initially based in the Strokestown/Tulsk area. Future developments within the services may require that you are prepared to transfer to other work locations as the service needs demand. The Role: This is a direct support/front line role providing support to an individual with Intellectual Disability, Autism and Complex Behaviours. The successful candidate will take a lead role with the implementation of the Behaviour Support Plan and leading the team to deliver a quality-based service. This will involve supporting the Individual during behaviours of distress. This role includes working as a key worker to support and advocate for the individual supported by the service. The role is to support the person in all aspects of their life focusing on the individual’s ability while promoting independence and development of skills. The role will assist and support the individual, with the development of their person centred plan, the achievement of associated outcomes, to live a meaningful life and fulfil their potential. The successful candidate will encourage community participation and inclusion in positive ways, seek opportunities for new experiences and encourage positive risk taking. Qualifications/Experience: Working hours: 60 hours a fortnight rostered Monday to Friday. Contracted hours of work are liable to change from 8am to 8pm to meet the requirements of the programme. The Psychiatry of Old Age (POA) service is a specialist mental health service providing care to clients over 65 who develop functional psychiatric illness for the first time and those people with dementia who develop behavioural/psychiatric problems requiring specialist input. The service provides a range of Community and Acute Care for patients referred from Sligo, Leitrim, West Cavan and South Donegal. This Consultant post delivers a Psychiatry of Old Age Service in Sligo University Hospital, Community Hospitals and Nursing Homes in the Sligo/Leitrim, West Cavan and South Donegal area with input to the Memory Assessment and Support Services (MASS). Applicants must be registered as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the Specialty of Psychiatry of Old Age.
