Senior Physiotherapist Neurology Naas General Hospital There is currently one whole time permanent position available located in Physiotherapy Department, Naas General Hospital, Naas, Co Kildare. The post will provide physiotherapy services for stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI), patients in the acute wards in NGH (and neurology OPD as service demands require). The successful staff member will work in collaboration with other staff within the neurology service, which would allow for staff rotation across in patient services and OPD services A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign in Naas General Hospital from which current and future, permanent and specificed purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled. Purpose of the Post: In conjunction with other team members the senior physiotherapist will lead, coordinate and deliver a high quality physiotherapy service for stroke and TBI patients in the acute wards in NGH and OPD (as service demands require) in accordance with the mission, values and strategic plan of the Organisation. Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge from the service with appropriate self-management and signposting. Eligibility Criteria Qualifications and/ or Experience Each candidate must at the latest date of application: 1. Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc. (i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. https://www.coru.ie/ AND (ii) Have 3 years full time (or an aggregrate of 3 years full time) post qualification clinical experience. AND (iii) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. AND (iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued. 1.
