What’s the role about? Joining us as a Seasonal Sales Associate, you’ll be supporting us to provide exceptional customer service in our stores to customers and to facilitate our ‘fulfil from store’ delivery service during our important Christmas and Sales periods. Due to the nature of the seasonal roles, we are looking for both part-time and full-time Sales and Stock Associates. Applicants should be available to work any dates (excluding Christmas Day) up until January 2026 (Most contracts will end by the 31st January 2026) Depending on your availability, our seasonal employees will start in the business in the months of October, November and December. We are looking for seasonal assistants (no previous experience needed) for our independent shops, and our Dunnes Stores locations all over the country, to support our existing teams over the busy Christmas period from mid-December. They must enjoy conversation, and understand the importance of working with and promoting artisan food products. We are looking for people who can sell great cheese, people who can make the connection between the producers of this food and the people who will be consuming it. This involves telling stories, tasting the food, and sharing knowledge and experience. We offer a great staff discount on Sheridans' products! JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Scope of Position The employee will maintain product merchandising, stock levels, cleanliness, and consistency of display in the style laid out by their line manager. 2. Key Responsibilities · Ensure that the Sheridans retail outlet is merchandised and presented in a visually attractive way with a focus on customer needs. · Where appropriate, engage with customers in a positive and friendly way in accordance with Sheridans’ customer service policies. · The employee will communicate regular updates to their line-manager. · At the location the employee's responsibilities will include: Monitoring stock levels; Ordering stock to maintain recommended levels using simple online application; Maintain cleanliness of locations as per H.A.C.C.P. plan; Conducting a daily spot clean and weekly deep clean on chill and ambient; Regular merchandising to maintain appearance of display; Stock rotation: rotate existing product by date; Shelf restocking: ensure that the site Wall is adequately always stocked with appropriate products; As required: set up and run tastings of our products to aid sales focuses. 3. Department Structure Reporting to: Team Leader and Retail Manager Working with: Cheesemongers and Team Leader(s) Manage/Supervise: n/a 4. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE • 1 years’ experience in a similar role desirable but not essential • Awareness of HACCP/Food Safety in retail. • Organised and calm in a fast-paced environment.
