Learning Support Mentor Register

The Learning Support Mentor will have responsibility for providing 1:1 mentoring support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. He/she will be required to undertake a range of tasks associated with supporting learners on a range of full time and part time Higher Education and Further Education courses. The Learning Support Mentor will provide support, motivation, and guidance to help students overcome obstacles to their learning which may include learning difficulties and/or disabilities, family issues, mental health problems or a lack of confidence.  ​​​​​​​ * This is an application to the Permanent Learning Support Register. Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) wish to invite applications for On-Call Firefighters in the following station: Keady Fire Station On-Call Firefighters play a critical role in protecting the local community and many of our fire stations depend on the contribution of our part time firefighters to ensure we can respond to emergency calls. This is a worthwhile and rewarding role providing an opportunity to work as part of a team, receive excellent training and develop a wide range of skills and experience. In order to fulfil the role you will need to meet the required standard of physical fitness and be able to meet a range of other criteria including the ability to respond to emergency calls by attending the fire station within 5 minutes of being alerted and the ability to attend a mandatory 2 hour drill night each week. Your availability to respond to calls is critical to this role and you will need to be available for a minimum of either 40 hours, 90 hours or 100 hours each week, depending upon the contract you wish to apply for. There are core periods of time during which you must be available. Full details of the availability requirements are set out in the Candidate Information Pack. If you are already in employment you can still work as an On-Call firefighter as long as your employer gives you consent to attend emergency calls.
