Reporting to the Site Asset Care Lead/Supervisor, the successful Candidate will work closely with the Site and Group Asset Care Team to deliver best in class plant maintenance and improvements in line with the Asset Care Strategy of the organisation. The Apprentice Fitter will have a key role to play in ensuring that the site always operates to the required mechanical standard. Core responsibilities for this role include: Learn and develop new practical craft related skills, knowledge and competencies. Working with and learn from experienced crafts people Support the Installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of various electrical & control systems and services Various mechanical training will be provided using welding, brazing & soldering techniques Increased technological advances in PLCs, CNC, Robotic will be part of the training programme Adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety Standards and Procedures Respond to plant downtime to ensure any contributory mechanical faults are resolved in a timely manner to ensure the plant can maximize throughput Candidates for this position should: Minimum pass grade in 5 leaving cert subjects including math’s, physics and any technical/science subject Have strong interpersonal, communication and written skills • Be results-orientated with a proven record of achievement Have excellent technical competence with the capacity to effectively analyse issues and problem solve in accordance with our Continuous Improvement philosophy Have a positive, can-do, resilient and flexible attitude with the ability to work on his/her own initiative Customer Focused and ability to worked within a team

The Role HR Managers in the Civil Service may work in one of many Government Departments/Offices across a range of HR functions including HR Operations & Recruitment, HR Business Partnering, Learning & Development, Wellbeing & Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Organisation Design and Development, AI & Workforce Analytics, HR Policy and Employment & Industrial Relations. The successful candidates will play a role in strategically leading, transforming and modernising HR practices within their organisations. As set out at Appendix 1, HR Managers (Assistant Principal Officers) are senior civil servants and will typically report to the Head of HR (Principal Officer) within a Department/Organisation, and depending on the size of the department, may be one of a number of roles at this level with responsibility for different areas within the HR function.
