The successful candidate will work within the Personal Lines Team dealing directly with brokers on their policies, addressing policy renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments. Supporting the broker with their underwriting queries. The Children’s Services support children up to the age of 18 years with Intellectual Disabilities who present with a range of support needs including Autism, Physical Disability & Complex Medical needs. The Role: The In-Home Support Practitioner will work as part of a multidisciplinary governance and support team in delivering a quality and effective service. This service will be provided through offering an in-home based support to parents and children. The role is specifically family focused, with the welfare of the child being paramount. The GP appointed to this post will work within Cork Adult Homeless Integrated Service (AHIS). Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering a coordinated approach to clients that are homeless. This is a disadvantaged population with enduring health needs including medical, mental health and addiction issues often with a background of significant trauma The GP will provide medical treatment to patients who present from homeless emergency accommodation. This will be for people who are from a very vulnerable population with significant complex needs and multi-morbidity. S/he will actively participate with other relevant care professionals in planning patient care working as part of the Homeless multidisciplinary team to deliver a co-ordinated approach to eligible client care. The GP will assess patients on presentation, prescribe a course of treatment and monitor that course of treatment.

Arboriculture Apprentice
Typical Tasks / Responsibilities A career in arboriculture is best suited for those interested in the care and study of trees. An interest in working outdoors in a physically challenging environment is necessary, with a good head for heights, while keeping fit and learning new challenges in a continually changing environment – as every tree is unique in its own right. Arborists manage trees, hedgerows and shrubs. The work is undertaken in both rural and urban settings and includes all aspects of felling, pruning, thinning, rigging, section felling, preserving, planting and protecting trees, sometimes using heavy equipment. They also provide information and advice on specific tree-related issues. There is an increasing focus on maintaining a safe relationship between the trees, their immediate environment and the general public. The role of the Arborist is to carry out any required arboriculture works in a correct manner that meets the objectives in its environment and to industry standards. The arborist should possess the skills that enable him/her to carry out such work in a manner that doesn’t put them, their crew, or the general public at risk, nor cause damage to existing structures, while meeting required standards. On successful completion of the proposed apprenticeship, an Arborist will be able to: Knowledge Equipment RPL (Recognised Prior Learning) Applications will be assessed through RPL policy, with consultation, documentation and assessment.
