This is a hybrid working role with the office days based in Woodlock House, Portlaw, Co. Waterford. This is Fixed Term Contract role of 1 year duration, with flexibility on hours therefore both full-time and part-time applicants would be considered. Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: • Good knowledge of full cycle accounting – General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, & Sales Reconciliation; • Play a key role in the monthly preparation of the management accounts; • Work as part of a cohesive team of finance professionals and support the achievement of the team's goals while managing individual responsibilities; • Assist with all year end duties including closing of accounts and preparation of audit with the wider finance teams. • Preparation and submission of journals to accounting system; • Month end close activities, including General Ledger reconciliation • Prepare sales reconciliations for various entities and post relevant journals to accounting system; • Assist with duties in relation to tax compliance & vat returns; • Other office admin duties as required. Profile of Craft Core Skills Carpentry & Joinery Construction The Trade of Carpentry & Joinery is very wide and varied, it encompasses most of the skills required by the Wood Trades. These skills required of the Carpenter & Joiner are not confined to those required to work in wood but include skills in the use of metals, plastics and fabrics. The Carpenter & Joiner is also required to work in a cross section of domains within the overall trade. The following are some examples: Joinery Shop: This section of the occupation requires the Carpenter & Joiner to engage in setting out, production and assembling items of joinery which include stairs, doors, windows and built-in furniture. Site Work: Site work is the construction of buildings or houses which require 1st fixing, formwork roofs and 2nd fixing. This section is split into two categories, constructing/civil engineering contracts. Maintenance: Maintenance work requires the Carpenter & Joiner to carry out a variety of tasks in general maintenance and upkeep of public and private buildings, e.g. shops and factories. There are other areas associated with the trade which include: renovating buildings, shopfitting, exhibition/display work. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Accounting Technician through the ATI Apprenticeship Programme (QQI Level 6). The role is office-based and combines four days per week of hands-on practice experience with one day of college study at Monaghan Institute of Further Education.
