St. Michael's House is a community-based organisation committed to providing a quality person centred service and high standard of day service to people with an intellectual disability in the greater Dublin area. The successful candidate will be part of a highly skilled creative and motivated multidisciplinary team which is nurse led. The team provides support to 16 men and women in a day service setting in line with New Direction’s Standards. The team in Baldoyle Day Services offer diverse models of person-centered care delivery to individuals with both intellectual and physical disabilities. The day service aims to provide an environment where individuals are supported and encouraged to be as independent as possible and make choices about their preferred activities in a healthy and safe environment along with being supported to be an active participant in the community. Essential Criteria for Applicants · Previous experience of supporting individuals with intellectual disability. · Have experience of working as part of a team. · Experience implementing positive behaviour support plans. · Have experience of a key working role focusing on promoting independence and community integration. · Good working knowledge of New Directions standards. · Excellent communication skills. · A full clean driver’s licence and be willing to drive as part of your role. St. Michael's House is a community-based organisation committed to providing a quality person centred service and high standard of day service to people with an intellectual disability in the greater Dublin area. The successful candidate be part of a highly skilled creative and motivated multidisciplinary team who provides support to 12 men and women in day service setting and in line with New Directions. The team in Riverside provides diverse models of care to individuals who function within the mild to moderate ranges of intellectual disability and some who have a dual diagnosis in mental health. There is a strong link between the Riverside team and the multidisciplinary team supports are provided on a 2: 1 and 1:1 to one ratios and larger group ratios as well as outreach services. The goal for all is to engage in meaningful activities and be an active participant in the community.
