Process equipment includes various types of pumps, valves, fans, centrifugal separators, decanters and packaging systems • Work in a good manufacturing practice (GMP) environment. • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing. • Under senior craft supervision you will be working with equipment such as milling machines, lathes, drills, welding plants, hand tools and other portable equipment. • Assist with fault finding on the various systems that we operate on site such as pasteurisers, evaporators, drying systems, material transport systems and utility systems as part of a team and as an individual. • Liaise with production staff in job execution. • Provide accurate reporting as necessary, including the use of computer maintenance system. On completion of the role, you will achieve a Level 3 qualification, and the potential to progress further within the organisation. Equans pay the statutory minimum wage for apprentices. General Overview:  You will work alongside a site project team, working on our NIHE Contract. The successful candidate will complete an intermediate Apprenticeship working towards the standard of the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3. The Apprentice will work across the ‘Environment’ team under the mentorship of Neighbourhood Operations Officer and Supervisor Subject to satisfactory overall performance and completion of the Level 2 Work based Diploma in Horticulture (Parks, Gardens & Green Spaces), the apprentice will be offered a Grounds Skilled Operative role in the Environment Directorate (Scale 4, currently £13.02 - £13.93 per hour) and there be opportunities to progress within the department to meet ongoing service requirements. This Apprenticeship will be rolled out over a 4 year period – 2 years for Level 2 and 2 years for Level 3. The Apprentice will attend work 3/4 days per week & 1/2 days at the College (depending if they require Essential Skills).
