Role: Part Time Driver Location: Dublin Hours: 25 per week Contract Type: 1 Year Pay: €13.50 per hour Position Summary: The Driver is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers, primarily children or individuals with special needs, during transportation to and from their homes and ChildVision. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Safety and Security: · Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is clean and safe. · Ensure all passengers are properly seated and secured before the bus departs. · Assist with emergency evacuations and drills, following established procedures. · Be aware of first aid procedures, and be able to perform them if needed. Communication and Assistance: · Communicate effectively with passengers, parents/guardians, and school/facility staff. · Provide clear and concise instructions to passengers. · Assist passengers with personal items and belongings. · Maintain accurate records of passenger attendance and any incidents that occur. · Maintain professional and courteous communication with all parties. Route and Schedule Adherence : · Be familiar with the designated pick-up and drop-off locations. · Alert the driver to any potential hazards on the route. Maintaining a Positive Environment: · Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all passengers. · Encourage positive interactions and respectful behaviour. The probationary period may be extended or terminated for any reason at ChildVision’s discretion. Annual leave: Annual leave entitlement is 8% of total hours worked Pension Scheme : ChildVision operates a contributory pension scheme, which all employees may join. Garda Clearance/ Police Clearance : These will be required for all prospective employees who will undertake relevant work or activities relating to children or vulnerable persons. This apprenticeship offers a unique blend of practical, hands-on training and structured college learning over two years, providing an excellent foundation for a successful career in sales. No two days will be the same, so your activities will vary and will be agreed with the Products, Operations & Logistics Manager on an ongoing basis. A highly varied, challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate. Your training will be a combination of on-the-job training and off-the-job learning via online classes and face to face workshops with the Education and Training Board. You will be released from the workplace to participate in the online classes and face-to-face workshops. You will be assigned a dedicated workplace mentor who will be there to support you throughout the programme offering guidance and making sure that all aspects of your learning follows the structured training plan. This is an “ earn and learn ” programme and upon successful completion you will qualify as a Sales Specialist and gain a QQI validated NFQ Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sales.
