Minimum Requirements Car Licence Applicants A valid Category B Irish car driving licence (for a minimum of 2 years) with no endorsements OR Bus Licence Applicants Salary €724.10 basic rate of pay per week, increasing to €838.40 on a six-year pay scale (Including shift pay and Sunday premium, rate of pay is €893.06 per week increasing to €1034.03, on the six-year pay scale). From 01 June 2026. Shifts New drivers will operate scheduled services covering a 5-day week with rotating shifts (including night service). The standard working week will be 39 hours, exclusive of breaks. Training Successful candidates will earn €724.10 a week while in the bus driver training programme. Successful candidates with a B Licence will commence a 6-week (full time) driver training programme, successful candidates with a D licence will commence a 4-week (full time) driver training programme. Initial training and mentoring is provided as well as on-going training and development, including periodic CPC. Production Operative
We are recruiting for a Production Operative to join our Production Team, to operate bagging equipment. In this role, you will operate a bagging machine that packages animal feed into bags ready for storage and customer delivery. You will monitor the machine to ensure it is running correctly and that products are bagged, labelled, sealed, and palletised to the required standard. The role also includes carrying out quality checks, completing production records, rotating stock, and keeping your work area and equipment clean, tidy, and safe. A good level of mechanical awareness is desirable, as you will be working with automated machinery. You should also have good attention to detail and be able to follow product specifications and production instructions accurately. This is a hands-on role in a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves working three 12-hour day shifts per week , Wednesday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm , with occasional Saturday work during busy seasonal periods. Full on-the-job training will be provided.
Panel Room Operator - Shift Work
We are currently recruiting for a Panel Room Operator to join our Production team at our Feed Mill in Monaghan. This is a varied role combining computer-based control of the production process with practical, hands-on duties on the mill floor. You will operate and monitor computer systems that control feed production, ensuring the process runs safely and efficiently. A good mechanical aptitude is desirable, as it will help you understand the equipment and production processes behind the system. The hands-on aspects of the role include inspecting machinery, clearing blockages, resetting equipment, carrying out process checks, and adding feed minerals when required. The position operates on a rotating shift pattern of three 12-hour shifts per week , covering both days and nights: The shift pattern also includes weekend work. Full on-the-job training will be provided.

Purpose and Function of Post This recruitment exercise will be used to fill Driver vacancies that may arise within the Mid Ulster District i.e. including Cookstown, Dungannon and Magherafelt (full-time, part-time, permanent & temporary). A Driving Assessment will form part of the selection process. Applicants must undertake a minimum of 35 hours driver CPC training during a five-year period to maintain their entitlement to drive. The successful candidate(s) will be required to undertake training on the operation of the Council’s OAV’s and achieve competence in operating this type of vehicle on a typical OAV route within 6 months of commencement. The post holder will only be established in post i.e., made permanent upon completion of a satisfactory 6-month probationary period which will include competence in OAV operation. The Council may retain a list of reserve candidates arising from this recruitment campaign, for any vacancies which may arise which are the same or similar and are of an equal grade of pay. This list will be valid for 12months. “Another similar vacancy” is defined as a post with a similar job description and person specification and on the same salary scale, which may be in a different department or duration to the vacancy initially advertised. Another similar vacancy does not include posts where the similarity relates solely to the salary scale.
