If you’re Autistic and looking for job opportunities, this is your chance to meet employers, learn about supports, and connect with peers.

On Wednesday, 8th October 2025, AsIAm, Ireland’s Autism Charity, in partnership with the Department of Social Protection, will host a Careers Fair to connect Autistic jobseekers with employers. This event reflects our vision of a society in which every Autistic person is accepted “as they are” – equal, valued, and respected.

Autistic people in Ireland are more likely to be unemployed or underemployed. This not only has significant financial consequences for our community, but also contributes to social isolation and a loss of independence and dignity. Critically, it represents a major loss of talent to both employers and wider society. We know diverse workplaces are more successful, and yet the knowledge, experience, expertise, and unique perspectives of our community are all too often lost.

This unique event brings together Autistic jobseekers and employers in a space that fosters real connection, opportunity, and understanding.

On the day, participants will have the opportunity to:

• Explore job opportunities at a recruitment showcase
• Learn about employment supports available through the Department of Social Protection
• Hear from Adam Harris, CEO of AsIAm, about programmes and initiatives designed to tackle Autism unemployment
• Engage with AsIAm, the Department of Social Protection, the Autistic community, employers, and other organisations
